Small Batch Snickerdoodle Cookies

Servings 18 cookies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (let sit out until room temp)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups flour (a rounded 1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt

For Rolling The Cookie Balls

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°

  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

  3. Using a stand or hand mixer, beat sugar, butter and egg until creamy.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until combined. Do not over stir.

  6. Use a cookie scoop to roll into balls. About 1 inch in diameter.

  7. Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Roll each ball in the mixture and place 2" apart on the cookie sheet.

  8. Bake for 7 minutes. Remove and let sit on the cookie sheet for another 6 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack.
