Welcome! Come on in. Can I offer you a hot cocoa or a peppermint martini? I love that you’re here and am anxious to show you around. Excited to be part of my friend Chris’ Home Tour and loved the eye candy from Four Generations One Roof! We kept things very traditional this year. I used plaid last year and decided to use it all again this year. Our home lacks any red during the year so I love to infuse our spaces with a ton of it during this time. And let me preface this by saying my home is in no way picture perfect. We live, laugh and love in these spaces. Every single one of them. They may clean up well for photos but let me tell you, my home is just as Christmas chaotic as yours. Isn’t that what this time of year is about. I hope you enjoy our home.

These frames were a DIY project years ago. A little bit of ribbon adds a festive touch.

I kept things simple in the kitchen. A couple of wreaths hung from plaid ribbon make a big impact. We also have that funky dust collecting space above our cabinets. We normally have it bare and Christmas forces us to take our little vacuum and give it a nice cleaning before we put up the pre lit garlands.

In case you are wondering about paint colors: Our downstairs is Cochise by Dunn Edwards and our master bedroom is Pale Oak by Benjamin Moore.
This is the first year we added some Christmas touches to our master bedroom. My favorite is the smell of the fresh wreath above the bed. I preciously had a mirror there and just took it down for the holidays. More of our room here.
And every good home tour needs a night time shot! This is actually when I enjoy my home the most at Christmas time. The fire, the tree lights. . . and my babies. Merry Christmas to you and your family. If you are new to my blog you can learn more about me here and see some of my favorite Christmas projects right here!

This is maybe a “dumb” question, but what is your rug size recommendation for under/around a queen sized bed?
