Have you all seen the new holiday line at Target? They have the cutest confetti glassware. I recently scooped one up to use in last week’s design adventure. I will show you more of that later this week. But this weekend I found myself with two extra glasses and a gold leaf pen. It was super simple to make a DIY confetti glass and I can’t wait to use it on my bar cart this holiday season. We happened to have cleaned out a couple of our kitchen cabinets this past weekend and these two glasses were in the giveaway pile. But they were the same shape as the ones I had seen at Target so I pulled out my gold leaf pen. I love when I can create a free project because I already have the supplies. There isn’t much to this! Just make sure your paint pen is flowing well and then rotate the glass as you create your confetti. I copied the store version by making sure there was more confetti near the top of the glass and kept it more scattered lower down on the glass. … I think these glasses would be super cute holding white cocktail napkins as well. The possibilities are endless as we head into the holiday season. These glasses are not for drinking out of. I am sure you can find the appropriate paint at a craft store should you want to drink out of yours. In fact my girl Cassie did just that here with darling vases. Mine will host festive straws or stir sticks during the holiday season. I just couldn’t resist the gold confetti. What do you think? Easy enough? Do you have your eye on the Target version. Their whole line is just darling. …………..c h e e r s I may have gotten my gold on in other parts of the house. Oh good! Yes! I keep looking around to see if there are other pieces that are never being used to do this to. Fun for the holidays!

I love anything dotted or gold…and you combined the best of all worlds! You could use gold craft paint, then bake it on so you can wash the glasses without the paint coming off. I did that with my Confetti bud vases and everything is still in tact, one year later!

I copied your idea with a few old glasses I had lying around and LOVED how they turned out! Although I found out the dishwasher takes off all the gold dots! Have you tried washing yours? Is there something I could coat them with to make them more durable? Or will I have to hand-wash? Thanks!
