I think by now you now our front porch is an extension of our home. I shared my fun and colorful porch with you all. And if you hop over and take a look at it you will be shocked at the difference. We so enjoyed our summer days with that. Now that fall is approaching {not quite here yet, for us!} we wanted to infuse some warmer, more fall like elements. We live in a community where many of us are out on the porch enjoying crisp, cool evenings. It is one of the reasons we love where we live so much. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money, but knew that my investment would be worth it as we will continue to sit out here during the chilly evenings of October and November. Here is what I did. Sometimes, as a blogger, you feel the pressure to finish something before you post it. This porch isn’t completely finished but I thought you would enjoy seeing how I get to an end product. The orange stand may or may not get a nice dark brown finish. I haven’t quite decided. But for now, I wrapped it with some burlap for texture and set a basket of cute little gourds and pumpkins on it. The leaves are from the dollar store last year and are just wrapped around the arrangement. Now for my favorite part!!!! If you have a World Market near you, you may want to run, not walk. All of their rugs are on sale {thanks for the heads up, Camden!} and I happened up on this outdoor little number for $40. So worth it to me. I am smitten. I love the fall colors but it’s not overtly “Halloween” or in your face type of fall decorating. I like the warmer tones and it’s perfect for the next couple of months. I pulled this from inside the house. It was a quick DIY of rope vases I did a while back. Very easy and adds some warmth and texture. Without fail, World Market tends to sell the best faux branches. I am never disappointed and they are at a great price point. I just love the color of these and they add enough of a fall touch which also picks up on the lighter oranges in the rug. … I spotted this sign during my shopping spree at the HomeGoods Blogger Party! I had to have it. It also works so great with the rug and is a fun little element for fall. The rest I had on hand. … And to give the boxwood wreath a touch of fall, I cut a few inches from the garland shown above and tucked it through the burlap. You can catch a peek of our fall mantel! The nice big pumpkins are still to come. But I feel so much better now that I have tucked away the spring/summer décor and we are welcoming in fall. I will keep you posted. Have you put out your fall décor? Do you still use your outdoor spaces this time of year? I can say that your photos are of a very good quality and the way you have described fall I think even the people who don't love it will start adoring it. You have a beautiful and welcoming home.
