Saturday Shopping | Denim and White

Thank you for all of the kind comments, birthday emails, and texts yesterday. You sure know how to make a girl feel good. I have to give a huge shout out to my husband who made the day truly unforgettable. Today we are off to watch my daughter’s dance recital. I get so emotional and choked up when I see that sweet girl up on stage. I am always so blown away by her confidence and poise. Throw in Father’s day and I’m a hot mess of emotions. But a dear friend of mine pointed out that simply means I am taking it all in. I like that perspective. So when you are feeling things strongly and deeply, it’s a nice reminder that you really absorbing and taking it all in. On a lighter note, this week’s Saturday Shopping is one of my favorite mixes. Denim and White.

I bought this blazer last summer and have already been wearing it this year again. You honestly can not beat the $25 price tag. If you do order it, it runs small so go a size up. I am wearing a medium. And mine arrived wrinkled but all of the wrinkles fell out when I hung it in the bathroom near the hot shower. Always an easy trick I use. A white blazer works with so many things. You can wear it with shorts and a fun tank or over any sundress. I adore all white with denim and think it looks really fresh. I chose to toss in pale pink with mine, but you could work in any color you wanted.

I think there is something really fun about a lace top mixed with ripped denim. It’s just a fun juxtaposition. These exact jeans just came out and are not on the website yet but I will update you when they are. I linked a similar pair by the same brand.  I recently had to say goodbye to my perfectly ripped and worn in jeans. It was a tragic day. So I finally bought a pair to replace them after realizing I reached for them constantly. They just work so well with so many looks.

I’ve also always wanted a pale pink purse. It reminds me of ballet slippers and there is something so feminine and pretty about it. This one is a splurge but I found this one and this one (with fringe!) that are not such an investment. This one is a darling clutch and ships for free. I do plan on carrying mine for years to come and I have not put it down lately. The color is just so pretty.

I have had these leopard heels for quite some time and love them. I am a sucker for a sexy heel. I really am. But let me be honest, these heels were not made for walking around town. I don’t want to mislead you. Do I love them and wear them a lot? Yes? But I wear them to dinner and for date nights . . .not for long sight-seeing journeys! If you are needing one that you can wear for the long haul, these are darling or you could go with a cute pair of sandals.  Great way to add a pop of leopard to an outfit.

A white blazer really is so versatile for summer. You can slip it over a black dress for date night. Add a little leopard with the heel and you have a sexy but well put together look. I love the gold detail on that clutch, too.

Can we talk about that bag? It’s so darn cute with the fringe. So here is an example of how you can pull together the same look as my featured look but with slightly different pieces. The fringed bag, sandals and shorts are more casual and work great for during the daytime.
