Has anyone else had a crazy week? Between sick children and a list of other things going on it’s been really nuts for us. I feel like I haven’t had a second to catch my breath so I am looking forward to Thanksgiving week. Boy do we need it. We won’t be traveling so we can get some good hibernation time in. My daughter wants to bake up a storm. She actually has the baking gene and will bake from scratch. I, on the other hand, take the easy way out.
MY KIND OF BAKING
I don’t have the patience for it, so baking from a box is right up my alley. So much less to clean up, too. That’s the lazy side of me talking. I baked my heart out for this Christmas tree and I am still recovering.
Have you guys tried these? They are from Trader Joes and crazy good. My kids go nuts over them. My kind of baking.
SCARF LOVE
gingham shirt | bracelet | scarf
Enough about yummy treats. Let’s talk accessories. Scarf love! I absolutely love this scarf. It is sooooooo soft. It is delicate so you want to put your rings and bracelets on after you put it on so it doesn’t snag. It’s lightweight and feels so good on. Besides this plaid one, it’s the one I wear most often. It also comes in this pretty eggplant color. This gingham shirt has been a favorite for quite some time. I am wearing a medium and always receive compliments on it when I wear it.
fringe scarf | dark plaid | gray | plaid
This plaid scarf really is a great one and an awesome gift idea. I love to give scarves or jewelry because you don’t have to worry about the fit. They make nice gifts for teachers, too. Just thinking ahead as these cute plaid ones tend to sell out quickly.
PRETTY BAUBLES
I have always loved pearls and wear some time of a pearl ring or bracelet almost daily. This one can be dressed up or down and is such a fun statement. It’s a bit snug so I am hoping it stretches with each time I wear it.
PRETTY HOLIDAY STYLE
bracelet | hair bow | hair clip
For the holiday party season, I am all about pulling my hair back. SO much easier and it can’t fall flat so quickly. I love the pretty bows that are being shown as well as the barrettes. It’s been years since I’ve worn one. I wore bows in my hair through all of grade school and even when I was playing sports in high school. I don’t know. I guess I just like the feminine touch they give. You are either a bow person or you’re not. So the barrette is a pretty choice of bows aren’t your thing. I also thought this was pretty.
I just love the pretty detail on this barrette. It’s like adding jewelry to your hair and much cuter than the brown elastic I am always wearing.
two piece outfit | bracelet | hair clip
For the record, these Blondie Bars are legit!!!! I am not a huge sweet lover, but these are so darn delicious. The key is placing parchment paper in the bottom of the baking dish. Even the next day they are soft and scrumptious. I am trying to figure out how to add a salted caramel element to them. If anyone has tried that, please let me know.
Have gotten so much use out of this two piece outfit. So much so that I bought a new one for our family photos and holiday parties this season.

I love BP plaid infinity scarf but am worried it might be too bulky for family pictures. Thoughts? Love your style!

Hi Erin,
Do you mean the one I am wearing with white t-shirt and boots? If so I think it’s great for a photo. I don’t find it to be bulky at all. The one that is in the collage (the darker one) is way to bulky for that. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I am going to need to try those Blondie Bars! Just went to Trader Joes last night and will pop back today for those. That two piece outfit is very pretty and classy on you Courtney. Love your hair with the jeweled barrette and also that pearl bracelet. Hope your Friday is a good one!

Love the blondies too! And “great minds”…. yesterday I found a new Hershey’s Kitchens Sea Salt Caramel Chip. I thought they would be a great (and easy addition) to blondes, brownies and cookies for the holidays.
