I hope you are all having a nice Thanksgiving week. I have had some mommy/daughter time with our oldest and my hubby took the kiddos miniature golfing last night for the first time. It’s been nice to carve out some time for those things this week. While the area of Southern California I am in seems to boast most of the major stores, we had been without a West Elm up until now. So my sister and partner with Casey Grace headed out with our coffee in hand to explore the new store. LOVE. First of all, there is a living wall in the store that is just gorgeous. While I have always been a West Elm fan, it was fun to see it all in person and hold things in my hands. I couldn’t help but put together a design board. I chose my favorite neutral pieces that would work in any space. Here is what I came up with:
My favorite part of this room is the Jute Chenille rug that I have always loved. But now it comes in a beautiful slate blue/gray color that is really wonderful. I am also coveting that twig mirror and chevron pillow. It’s patchwork element is something new and different and I like the vintage feel of it. Oh, and the velvet drapes are dreamy to the touch. Sort of wishing I had busted those out for my bonus room. So while I do my happy dance with our new local West Elm, maybe you can check out these pieces in your store or online. Oh, and I did pick up a shower curtain that may or may not be striped! Hmmmm!
And whether today finds you cooking for tomorrow, getting a jump on Christmas shopping, relaxing or working I hope it’s a good one for you.

Not surprised you picked up a striped shower curtain! 🙂 Those frames are definitely on my list since we first saw them in Dallas.

I am a new follower and so far, I am in love! Pulling off a neutral palette with three kids under 9, that would be difficult. But, I would love to try it someday. Love the square wreath! Can't wait to see more!!

Love the grey striped chair – would look great in my living room – I think. 🙂

Ohhh, that boxwood wreath — so gorgeous! 🙂 I'm glad you have a West Elm in your area now. We have one right down the street from us, and I just love walking around and feeling inspired.
