A New Headboard | DIY Style

April 13, 2015 by Courtney 12 Comments

Welcome back from the weekend! I hope it was a good one. We packed in a ton and are a bit sleepy eyed this morning.  It’s like heaven having my sister here {visiting from Singapore}. She came over for dinner last night and we seriously could not stop talking. It was also fun to get her reaction to my daughter’s new headboard. We finally made it this weekend. Let’s see . . . she is almost nine and we finally checked it off the list. See how quickly we move around here. headboard Just a sneak peek for now as I am working on the tutorial. The headboard is pretty darn simple, but I thought I would explain the simple way I created the Greek key trim. For those of you with stellar memories, I did actually buy my daughter a headboard online. But when it arrived it was too much of a bubblegum pink and I didn’t care for the curve on it. So after much hemming and hawing, I am so glad we decided to design it and DIY it ourselves. Enjoy your day. Off to get the house in order after the children blessed it with their Spring Break messes! To see my daughter’s DIY pelmet box tutorial go here.

What a great color! I need to read that tutorial because I'm working on a headboard for my One Room Challenge. I like the Greek key idea!
