A Sweet Bouquet {DIY Paper Flowers}

March 18, 2013 by Courtney 16 Comments

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend and spirited St. Patrick’s Day. The leprechaun visited and turned much of our living room upside down. So mischievous, that leprechaun! Besides spending time with family and celebrating a birthday, I was also able to sneak in some time on my daughter’s new closet turned desk space. I can’t wait to show you how it all came out but it’s not quite ready! In the meantime, I fell in love with a simple Target find and wanted to share. I stumbled upon these darling flowers and surprised my daughter with them for new room. I just can’t get enough of them.   spring flowers I was able to sneak off to Target BY MYSELF this weekend and wandered for a good hour. Normally, I race in and race out. It was such a luxury. In doing so, I found this paper flower kit near the party supplies. Well, hello! I never even look at all of the scrapbook/sticker aisle. This little number was only $5. Seriously, I am in love. I could see this as a cute arrangement for a party or attached to birthday gifts. You could even attach one flower to each goody bag as well. The possibilities are endless. As soon as I saw them I knew the colors were spot on for Riley’s new space!   kit   flowersupplies For $5 you can’t beat it. I put all twelve flowers together in less than 15 minutes. Super simple to do. And voila, a cute little bouquet that doesn’t need water or sunlight! I can’t even kill this one! The middle of each flower has a little newsprint petal and jewel which is just so fun.   flowerslimeflower   I have an entire top shelf of my kitchen filled with glass bottles, pasta jars, and mason jars that I save. I grabbed one that was the perfect size and gave it a quick coat of white satin spray paint. bouquet coralflower   …. spring has sprung And these sweet blooms now have a nice home in Riley’s tangerine room. I promise to show you more once I complete a few finishing touches! What about you? Has Spring sprung early for you? Have you already seen these cuties from Target?
