So I love to shop as much as the next girl. Having said that, I have learned a few things over the years. I have most certainly learned that there are certain pieces that are classic and timeless and never go out of style. Those I will spend more money on. If it is trendy and most likely a passing piece, I will spend far less. I have had a pair of black riding boots for over ten years now. I have held on to anything plaid and have worn them yearly. I also am a lover of all things quilted and patent leather. They just always seem to stand the test of time. Just like a classic patent leather heel. Here are a few beauties I rounded up that have that timeless appeal.

sweater | scarf | boot socks | boots | lace dress And this luck struck me as so darn cute. I might try to recreate it for Saturday Shopping. As most of you know, I am a huge fan of all things lace. I never thought of wearing a sweater over my lace dress and pairing it with boots. Such a cute look. Maybe you can take a look in your wardrobe and see if there are any dresses {lace or not} that could work with this look. Thrown on a scarf and you are super cute and chic for fall. The lace dress with the sweater, boots and scarf is darling! That would be really cute on you Courtney. I love anything and everything lace. I just picked up that plaid scarf tonight at Target along with another cute classic one! Infact, I posted it on IG a few minutes ago. We're on the same page with plaid. I love the rain boots! Gah, why can't they make them for super small calf people?! And the bag is so lovely. I nearly went crazy the other day perusing the Nordy website when I saw blue and white striped rain boots. I've never met a stripe I didn't like!
I know! I have the same issue. Have you tried the children's department. Could work if you are an 8 or smaller. YES! Stripe lovers unite!
Yes, yes, yes! Timeless, classic. I am pairing my closet down to just that. At my age, trendy is so fleeting!! I picked up that scarf at Target a few weeks ago, and LOVE it!! Now, if it would just cool off enough to wear it. I know it will be a staple for years to come. And, I splurged and bought a pair of black quilted Sperry rain boots a couple years ago. I get more compliments when wearing them and they too will stand the test of time. Understand the narrow calf with the boots…my oldest can get away with kids sizes, so that helps. Her sister and I have not problem filling out the calves!! LOL
