A Tufted Headboard {Finally}

November 18, 2014 by Courtney 5 Comments

So I have a bit of a confession to make. Months ago I posted about tackling a headboard for my daughter’s room. As you can see below, her room is begging for one. So I set out to make a tufted headboard. I bought the hot pink fabric and all. Days went by. Then weeks. And then months. Still no headboard. Tick-tock. Tick-tock. I can’t take it anymore! Ha. Truth be told, I stumbled upon the greatest headboard for my client’s space. It was delivered and it’s perfect. And we found it at Target of all places. A light bulb moment went off. I too could have a headboard for my daughter. I just needed to give up the dream of making one and take the plunge to buy one! athoughtfulplace3 pelmet box tutorial tuftedgoodness  tufted headboard {more colors} Here she is! I adore the hot pink {that is the color fabric I had already purchased!} and that it isn’t too bulky. It comes in a million different colors. And can we talk about the price? That was the price at checkout for the full size headboard. Many home pieces are 20% off now plus free shipping. If you have the Target Red Card handling fees and shipping fees are always waived. I can’t wait to add this to her room. It’s been a long time coming. jennylind Jenny Lind Headboard . I also stumbled upon this one which is just like another high end store but at a fraction of the price. So so cute. It comes in a pretty aqua color, too. classicheadboard tufted headboard – love!   This is the one that was ordered for my client. I LOVE it. In person the quality is awesome and the chrarcoal color is very striking. . rusticcharm rustic headboard , This one reminds me so much of the Restoration Hardware headboard. You could even add nailhead trim to it to create a similar look. LOVE the rustic appeal of this. And have you seen this one? Eeek! I am in love. It reminds me of the Serena & Lily fabric. Such a great headboard!!! Please someone buy one and then send me photos!!! It’s too good. So there you have it. My favorite headboards from good old Target. Who knew. I wish I could say I labored over my daughter’s and created the most amazing thing ever. But this time around, for $165, “add to cart” never felt so great. Here’s hoping it arrives soon! Be sure to pop back in tomorrow because I will be sharing my favorite things!!!!

    I am considering buying the Target tufted headboard in the grey color but am afraid it will be too dark in person. Someone described it online as almost black. What did you think of the color in person? Thanks!
