A Work in Progress: New Expedit

November 12, 2012 by Courtney 17 Comments

We had a really special weekend filled with good family time. We celebrated two successful soccer seasons and even got around to a bit of organizing. After traveling for the last two weekends, it was nice to just be around town and enjoy a slower paced weekend. And thank you for all of the really nice feedback from my Fashion and Traveling post. On Saturday,  I came home from Ikea with a brand spankin’ new glossy Expedit. Hard to believe I could find a spot in my home for another one, but alas I have! The styling has just begun and I will show you more of this room soon.   IMG_0139 And thank you to Hearst Magazines for sending me more issues which include my ad campaign with Kleenex. I so appreciated receiving them. IMG_0140 I also want to turn my attention to our family members and all who selflessly served this beautiful country. Suffering separation from family as well as injury, I truly stand in awe of your dedication to maintaining our freedom. We honor you on Veterans Day and everyday for your love of country. ….. We lost an incredibly dear family friend this weekend. Phyllis, this world will not be the same without you. You created beauty in everything you touched and inspired so many to do the same.  We love you. We will miss you. . via And with the pain of loss always comes a fervent reminder to embrace life and savor the little moments. Hugging my children a bit tighter today. What will you do?

    So sorry for your loss!

Expedits are my favorite Ikea pieces. I don't own one but I just love the way they look, especially when they are arranged in a fun way!
