Can you believe the Fourth of July is just around the corner?! We hosted last year and it was blazing hot so we are hoping it’s a tad bit cooler this year. I love decorating for the holiday and usually keep it simple with bunting, banners and a couple of fun tablecloths. If you are ordering anything online, it’s best to do it now so it has time to arrive.
CLASSIC BUNTING
I love how simple bunting is, but it adds so much. We usually hang in on this deck and on our windows in the front of the house. Easy but impactful.
I bought these from Walmart but you can order from Amazon, too.
AMERICAN FLAGS
We have the stars and stripes corn hole bags which we found here.
If you need a new flag, this is nice quality and comes in so many different sizes. This one is a great price but is only available in 4 x 6.
This one lights up which would be so pretty at night!
This flag one comes in both 7′ and 9′ and is beautiful.
CLASSIC DECOR
- flag bunting: we have these and love them (found this set on Amazon)
- floral tablecloth: fun vintage feel with a rustic background and beautiful blue
- hydrangeas: fresh is great but these will last forever (struggling over here with real plants)
- pinstripe banner: even cuter in person – 50% off
- striped throw: we have a similar plaid version and really like these blankets
- bistro chairs: obviously not a frivolous 4th purchase but wanted you to now they are on sale (we’ve had them for years and love them). Target also has these darling chairs for $60 each. They even come in red. So cute.
VINTAGE VIBES
I am such a fan of the vintage feel of both the pinstripe banner and the floral tablecloth. It’s a really pretty way to decorate for the Fourth.

FOR THE FIREWORKS
In the past we’ve bundled licorice to take to the fireworks. Just fun for everyone to have a sweet treat. I pick up a piece of blue and white paper from Michael’s, cut it into stripes and wrap it around 4-5 licorice sticks.
If you are near a fire pit, it’s fun to get creative with the s’more fixings. I use these silver french fry containers for so many things.
WHAT TO WEAR
Headed to something a bit dressier, this dress is beautiful and on my wishlist.
I also love this halter dress from Amazon. I have it in the navy and red. This $35 denim dress comes in white or blue.

I thought this was fun and more practical for the hot month of July. I ordered a small and plan to wear it with these denim shorts (gift for my birthday).
I thought this striped set was really fun, too. Different and so comfy.

These are all great options for sandals. My kids gifted me these for my birthday and I LOVE them. But these white sandals are incredibly comfy and perfect for the Fourth.
