Good morning. Gosh it’s been an eventful couple of days for so many with such severe weather. Praying the sunshine sticks around and things can dry out. We are finally seeing our basement details come together and I am really excited. You know we have taken our time and I am grateful we haven’t rushed into it. The sitting area is almost complete. With the arrival of new pillows, things are really taking shape.
THE DETAILS

sofa | chairs | rug | plaid pillow | stripe pillow | vase | stems
As a reminder we painted the walls Ashwood Moss by Benjamin Moore (as seen above). It creates a really warm and moody backdrop. We kept our selections pretty dark with the exception of the oatmeal colored sofa. It’s so soft and comfortable and the performance fabric is great.

I wanted to keep things as masculine as possible in this room. While I usually gravitate towards the floral fabrics, this time I stuck with plaids and stripes. This particular plaid fabric is really gorgeous in person. I must have looked at every plaid pillow out there and as soon as I saw these I knew they would be perfect. They compliment the rug and paint color so well. They are currently on sale.

How darling is this detail on the zipper? So sweet. Porter Lane Home is a wonderful small business creating beautiful pieces.

This is another favorite fabric of mine and looks great on our swivel chairs. I adore these stripes on the ivory background. I had these made double sided because you see the backs of the pillows when you walk in the room. Danielle always does a beautiful job. I have been supporting her small business for quite some time.

A closer look at this fabric. That subtle texture almost gives them a vintage vibe. And I wanted you to see the rug more closely. The navy/sand combination is so pretty. (Rug is on sale).
What is wild is that I looked back at my original mood board before we started the project and it’s not too far off from where we landed.
Wishing you a wonderful day. Happy Friday.
