This past weekend we headed up to Big Bear Lake for a relaxing getaway with two other families. With a total of 14 people in one house {8 children} it could have been a bit of a disaster. But after three glorious days of fishing, a pirate boat tour around the lake, dinners on the deck, French toast, dance parties, s’mores, talking until 1:00 in the morning, and even water slides. . . .we all can’t wait to go back again. It’s safe to say we are all exhausted, but a happy exhausted. Here is a little recap of the weekend. 
How can it be anything but fun when you have all of these sweet little faces? Have you been to Big Bear? It’s such a great mountain town. Thinking we might need to go back when there is snow . . . I can see this little group all dressed up in snowsuits {and exhausted mamas from getting them in their snowsuits!}.

Ohh, I love Big Bear! My family went there a few years ago for a skiing trip over Christmas. We had so much fun and it is so beautiful there!! Looks like you all had a wonderful time 🙂

That getaway sounds like the best…I actually prefer a vacation to the lake over the beach any day…I'm not one for the hot and I love all the activities of a lake! Y'all look like you took full advantage, what a blast! I adore pics of daddy and little man fishing together, sweet memories!

That looks GORGEOUS! Seriously wish I lived in CA for all the gorgeous scenery within a 1/2 days drive in all directions!
We have family in Big Bear and visit often. Did the Pirate ship take you by the home of Mel Blanc (the voice of Bugs Bunny) and his family? We love spending an afternoon on the lake. Looks like y'all had fun! =)
