Big Boy Room: Before & After Dresser

September 12, 2011 by Courtney 45 Comments

Yahoo! Another project is checked off the list. My son’s Great-Great-Uncle’s dresser has been repainted for his big boy room. Many of you weighed in on the decision of whether or not to paint the drawers. Well, you all made a fantastic call. The dresser is now lime green and sporting some handsome dark hardware. Here she is in all her glory! IMG_4154IMG_4156IMG_4164 Do you remember what it looked like before? It was white with the chrome hardware. And a rather sad paint job. IMG_3568-1 IMG_3576IMG_3564 The details on the paint job can be found here. Gallery wall details here. IMG_4169 IMG_4184IMG_4188IMG_4190IMG_4192 IMG_4158 IMG_4197 I couldn’t be happier with the transformation. It’s the pop of color the room can handle and I love the new dark hardware. It helps to give it a more masculine feel as well as ground it in an all white room. I will give you more details on the hardware transformation this week. So what do you think? Did my readers make the right call on going all green? Wow! The transformation is incredible and it really makes the room — I love how it isn't too bright green, but green enough (does that even make sense? ha) and the black hardware really sets it off. Amazing job!!

Super cute Courtney! I think I built the same shelves in my son's room. Ana White? They are so easy to make!!

Super job on the green dresser. It's a beautiful color, and looks really good in that room, especially next to those curtains you have.
