Things have been a little bananas lately and the bonus room project fell to the bottom of the list. You can check out the style board for it here. However, our resident artist {our six year old} created some masterpieces for us to hang in a gallery wall. My son did two of them while she did the rest. They are such a bright spot in the room and can be seen the moment you enter. They make us all smile. A while back I had shown my daughter Cocoa and Hearts from Jen Ramos. She LOVED them and apparently remembered. So Jen, thank you for inspiring my six year old little artist {well, maybe not the turkey hand . . . but you get the idea!} And if you are wondering how a six year old gets such perfect circles . . . she asked me to trace circles for her in pencil. Then she went to town with the paint. Then there is the gallery wall. I had planned to paint all of these frames white. But we have company coming and instead of leaving the frames in a big heap on the floor {like they have been for months} I decided to hang them back up. So now I am torn on if painting them white will be too white with the curtains and stripes. Perhaps a fun pop of color with a fabric matting in a couple of them. I should probably fix the photo that is slanting down as well! All in good time. …………………enjoying the sun The weather has been spectacular lately. We have been playing outside and savoring it. Nothing beats watching your little one skipping rope with thoughts towards summertime. I can feel it already. {enjoy your day}

Courtney, I think you'll have to find a place for that photo of your munchkin skipping rope on your gallery wall – it's a framer!!! I really like the black frames in there for contrast, and your artists did a phenomenal job with those paintings!

Her artwork is gorgeous! I'm going to show my little artist and maybe she'll get inspired! I like the frames in black- they really look great against the stripe wall and isn't your desk up there black? What a great picture of your girl – we're big fans of jumping rope and of hula hooping!

What a fun wall and what a talented little artist Riley is. I love it! I want to commission Riley to paint me a dot painting! It's so cheerful and colorful. I think children's artwork is the best. That is a darling photo of her skipping rope. Happy and carefree!

I love the wall of your kids' art. I have framed a couple things my daughter made in art class at school and they are priceless! I also love your wall of black and white pics–yes, I think some amazing fabric for the mats on some of them would be great!

That jump roping picture is too cute! So sweet to frame and display your little artists' art- they are mighty talented and it's such a sweet feeling they give the room. I'm with you on the black frames- I like them. I bet the white would be pretty too though. My favorite is still the campaign detailing on your frames in the living room.
