You may not even remember that we have a bonus room as I don’t show it on the blog very often. I created a design board for it a while back and have been taking my sweet time with this space. The room primarily serves as a playroom as well as office space for me. The room gets flooded with natural light which makes it enjoyable to spend time in. I also love that it is upstairs so if it’s a complete disaster {which is most of the time} nobody really sees it. I can walk away and not worry about it! While at HomeGoods this past week, I couldn’t pass up this darling addition to our gallery wall. He is shiny and fun and I love the 3D addition to the striped wall. … I need to update a few of the photos, but it’s always so hard for me to take down any of the baby prints. They are all such special memories for us.
…
… To read more about the checker board coffee table we have in our bonus room you can click here. Many a movie have been watched in this space and it makes for a cuddly spot for Friday nights with the family. The printed pillows are from Ikea and the #1 and #2 pillows I made way back in the day when I first started my blog. …
… Recently when working on our daughter’s tangerine room, we moved her bookcase out of her room and swapped it out for the Expedit. I have always LOVED this white bookcase and so it has a new home in our bonus room. It replaced a dark wood piece. It’s nice to lighten up the space even more and the styling of it has begun. You sort of really have to be in the mood to style a bookcase, and that hasn’t struck me yet. But during my same trip to HomeGoods I sign this sign that I knew I had to have. Every day when my husband takes my daughter to school and drops her off, he always says, “Be the best Riley you can be today!” So this frame was such a great addition to our play space. …
… The bookcase sits behind a game table and fun chandelier from Ikea. It’s a fun whimsical light that we all love. …
I have another project I am working on for this room and will show you the plans later in the week. I am using what I have to transform outdated posters into a display spot for children’s artwork. Excited to get it moving. h a p p y m o n d a y !
Love that shiny deer head!
I love switching around stuff you have in your house… it makes a world of difference by simply breathing new life into it, right? Still loving those numbered pillows, too : ) And the sunflowers! Maybe I should just come move into that room with y'all and all the chaos? I'd fit right in!
I love it. Fun, whimsical and it totally works 🙂 Great find! xo Kristin
