I hope you had a wonderful Halloween. Ours was very quiet. My son had plans with friends and the trick or treaters were few and far between because of the rain. But it was lovely to relax and enjoy a quiet night. We definitely reminisced over years past, the homemade costumes, and funny stories from neighborhood parties. Grateful to have enjoyed such fun Halloweens with the kids all though the years. It sure goes by quickly. This morning I came across some really cute finds I wanted to share with you. A few are definitely on my wish list.
NEW ARRIVALS
Social Threads just did a launch and I have to say, it’s one of my favorites. All of these are so fun.
- fair aisle sweater – always in style
- turtleneck sweater – the cuffs are so good
- après cardigan – so good from the front, too
- olive green jacket – love everything about this
The second I saw this jacket, it went on my wishlist. So darn cute. I am a sucker for this olive green color and think the contrasting collar is adorable.
And then there are these. Such a great color for this time of the year.
SPLURGE GARLAND
I have had a few requests for my favorite high end garland. If you are willing to splurge, this one would be it. It’s full, realistic looking, and so pretty. Great for down a long table, a mantel or your stairs. This is gorgeous. What I appreciate about investing in garland is that it is easy to store and does not go in and out of style with the trends. Add in some pretty velvet ribbon and your house feels so magical.
This is the same cedar garland (just not as thick) but it’s on sale!!!
HOLIDAY COLLECTION
Well, shoot. I want to be the first to say I do not have a collection of Stanleys. I have one. But darn this holiday version is cute. If you need a fun gift idea . . . for the gal that has everything, this could be it. They had me at gold trim. Great for babysitters, friends, teachers . . . pretty much anyone.
CLASSIC ART PRINTS
These art prints are a fun way to bring in a holiday touch. So pretty on a kitchen counter or in a bookshelf. This one is a charming vintage ski print.
Love this one, too. Of course you could also print out something yourself and swap out a piece of artwork for the season. Always fun to use holiday art your children made.
REALLY IMPRESSED
For our basement project, I need a long media console. I’ve looked high and low and the ones I love (and are long enough) cost upwards of $4000. I’m just not willing to spend that kind of money on something like that. I stumbled upon this piece and I have to say, it’s really good. Obviously not real wood, but for $100 I am so pleasantly surprised. I will be using three next to each other. And for a total of under $400 I am pretty darn excited. If you stumble upon an antique or something special down the road, great. But for now these cabinets are winning! There are three colors available.
*It comes in a 70″ version as well.
I’m off to do some picture frame molding planning. Time to put my math skills to the test. Our basement kitchen is just about finished. I”ll share in my stories later today! Happy Friday, my friend.
