The Chairs are Finished {nail head mania}

July 6, 2011 by Courtney 34 Comments

Remember those two blue chairs I picked up from Home Goods? I loved their shape and size and knew they were great for in front of our fireplace. The added seating really helps in our living room when we entertain. I also appreciate that the conversation area is not all facing the television. So the blue babies looked like this in the store: image With the addition of upholstery nails, they have much more character and I love the little added bling. IMG_2219 With some persistence, a patient husband and a little elbow grease . . . .they came out just as I had hoped. IMG_2208 IMG_2207 For tips and a step by step on how to add nail head trim you can go here.   IMG_2224IMG_2394                      before                           after   IMG_2387 I also found this great lamp at Home Goods {love that place!}. I snatched it up the second I saw it. It has the appearance of mercury glass and is especially beautiful at night. Only $40. And I couldn’t myself out of the reflection no matter how hard I tried!   IMG_2236IMG_2239 Have you found any fun finds this week? The temperatures are heating up so it’s off to the pool for us today!                          ………………………………………………………………………………………….. That is the perfect touch! They looked good before, but the trim makes them look higher end. I love the little touch of silver, it looks great with your other silvery accents!

    The nailhead trim was the perfect touch on those chairs. They're beautiful and a little more dressed up now. Nicely done, Courtney! I love both of your throw pillows. Beautiful lamp, too! Have a great day at the pool. We've had a hot spell of 90-100s for the last several days.
