So it’s taken me long enough to get my Charleston, South Carolina recap together, hasn’t it? Traveling to SC was quite the event! You now those movies where people run through the airport and straight to the gate to make their connection. That was me. No joke. I landed in Chicago airport and saw I missed my connection. Next flight was five hours later. Until I checked my phone and saw a text that read, “The monitor says your flight is closed but it is still on the ground. Haul a%% and you might make it.” Would have been fine if I hadn’t been at the wrong terminal. I sprinted, caught a a tram, sprinted again, took out a guy with my rolling suitcase {if you are reading this, sir, I am so very very sorry!!!}, sprinted to the very last possible gate and ran onto the airplane. And to the man I sat next to, I am so very sorry for panting uncontrollably for the first ten minutes of the flight. Alas, it was all worth it. And I realized I need to run more. A lot more. The trip with college friends could not have been more fun. We rented a home just a couple blocks from the beach and hung out for a long glorious weekend. I met this great group of girls back in our college days at The University of Notre Dame {Go Irish!}. We were friends from day one and have watched each other meet future husbands, walk down the aisle, welcome sweet babies, travel the world, and launch impressive careers. Each time we get together it’s as if no time has passed at all. We found Poe’s to be completely charming and the burgers were fantastic. I wouldn’t mind popping back into this great place again one day. I know some of you out there love this place as well. {I am in the pink tank top} Making this trip even better was meeting up with the oh so darling Chassity from Look, Linger, Love. She was sweet enough to take time out of her weekend and hang out! We had a great time chatting and giggling in person. I hope it’s not long before we can do it again {oh, and my friends had a hay day with making fun of me for having a blind date!} That night we hit the Vendue Inn and had cocktails on the rooftop patio. So fabulous. And thank you to our sweet friend who is expecting her second baby. She was our designated driver for the weekend and could not have been more of a trooper. She also knows how to put together one amazing soundtrack for the weekend. We love you! Oh, I miss these girls already. Thank you for letting me share! And to the wonderful people of Charleston, I see why you are all so proud of your city. What a beautiful and fantastic place! And can we talk for a minute about the southern accent . . . .scrumptious! And I have gotten some very sweet emails about my dresses. I forgot for a moment that I am a blogger and I signed some unwritten contract somewhere about dishin’ on my sources! That’s why we love these blogs, right! So here they are my friends: Pink Tank Top: Anthroplogie Blue & White Striped Mini Dress: The Daisy Shoppe Gray and White Dress: Target Blue Ikat Maxi Dress: Khols {inexpensive and my very favorite dress}

Charleston is one of my favorite cities! I LOVE the Vendue Inn. Nothing tops a weekend away with old friends. You laugh enough in a few short days to carry you through to the next time! Would you be willing to share where you got your dresses from the pics (if they are even still available?) I love them all!

Watching these images made me miss my girlfriends from college. We separated after college due to different work fields and places. How I wish to see them again but I think it will not happen soon.
