Christmas Home Tour

December 15, 2011 by Courtney 35 Comments

Merry Christmas from our home to yours. If you care to snoop around, here is the whole enchilada all dressed up for the holidays. Kitchen Touches IMG_6115 If I had my way, the cabinets would go all the way up to the ceiling. Alas they do not. So while I am not normally a fan of putting anything on top, Christmas time calls for some lights and garlands. And Candy Cane {our Elf on the Shelf} finds it to be a cozy spot from which to spy! IMG_6117 IMG_6157 I love filling up the new bulletin board with Christmas photos. We also hang them on our garlands going up the stairs. Dining Room IMG_6120 IMG_5628IMG_5643IMG_5663IMG_5675IMG_5679 Children’s Touches While Grandma and Grandpa were in town, we decorated gingerbread houses at The St. Regis Hotel. It was a really special outing. We are looking forward to our annual gingerbread house making night this Sunday at our other Grandparents house {grammy and papa}. We all build our own . . . and let’s just say we come from a very creative and competitive family! It’s always an event! IMG_6123 IMG_6124IMG_6134IMG_6138 IMG_6168 My daughter made this at school and gave it to her brother yesterday. I am pretty much in love with it. I think I will frame the bag to use as art during Christmas time. Family Room It’s nice to see the wreaths through the windows during the daytime. IMG_6143 IMG_5919 IMG_5928IMG_5951 IMG_6185 One of my favorite ornaments. It’s a photo of me when I was pretty darn little with my brother’s arm wrapped around me.   IMG_6126 IMG_6152 Because our tree isn’t real, we like to hang wreaths on the inside of our doors. Nice way to bring in the wonderful Christmas scent. And the stockings were hand made by Grandma. Very special. A Peek at the Porch IMG_6173 IMG_5957 Thanks for taking the tour of our home at Christmas! I am ready to party with Michaela {Michaela Noelle Designs} and crew today. She is hosting a holiday décor link party! Come on over. Cottage & Vine also sharing with: The Inspired Room The Nester The Shabby Creek Cottage   …………………………….. BLOG NEWS: Also, some of you may have already noticed, but things are getting organized around here {thanks for the hot tip Cassie!} If you click on my holiday, entertaining, and organization tabs at the top of the blog, you will find easy links to all of my favorite projects. Hope it makes it easier for you to snoop around.

Oh wow Courtney! It's all so beautiful. I adore that fork art too:) And I never thought to hang our cards on the garland but I think I may do that this year b/c I don't have a good place for them. The ornament of you with your brother's arm around you must be so special to you! You were an adorable little girl- the pigtails!!! 🙂

I'm blown away, girl! The whole house is so festive…it looks straight out of a magazine! Love all the garland…especially Candy Cane peeking out! My kids named theirs "Red". Wow. I guess that's what happens when you let a 3 and 4 year-old pick out elf names! (c:

There's not anything in your house I wouldn't want to "borrow". 😉 So unoriginal to say, but everything is beautiful.

Your little one's art work…oh my goodness. The best. Best! Love the wreaths through the window (and love the wood blinds, too!), your mantel is gorgeous (I just wish I had the need for a mantel!) and…I could go on and on. Gorgeous!!! Like right out of a movie.

I knew about Michaela's link-up, but not the others yet. Thanks! I linked my "How to NOT take bad pics of your Christmas tree". Haha! 😉
