Christmas Vignette Link Party

December 18, 2012 by Courtney 23 Comments

Hi all! It’s my turn to host the Christmas Link Party and I know you’ll find oodles of inspiration. Don’t let the phrase “Christmas Vignette” throw you. Come link up any Christmas décor in your home. You can even give us a tour or show off your holiday tablescape. Today I am rolling with my Christmas gifts. I embraced the buckets this year! My tree is in a rustic planter and I have placed the wrapped gifts in a beverage bucket near the tree. The gifts in the bucket will be for my relatives and I love having them as part of the décor. Eliminating the Christmas morning confusion, I can simply tell my kiddos the bucket is off limits. Let’s just say they have ripped into other peoples’ presents more than once.  It should be easy for Santa to step around it and easily tuck the gifts under the tree!   IMG_0881   IMG_0886   I tend to stick to a simple color scheme when wrapping so I can mix and match everything I have. This year was no exception and I used the bold graphic red papers to accent most of the gifts. My gift tags were either chalkboard labels or hand made labels spruced up with a stamp and some craft tape. You can read more about my gift tags here. Last year’s gifts were wrapped with bright color and personalized labels. IMG_0905   And because most of my dear family reads these posts, I left names off so at least they don’t know which gift is belongs to them. Some things need to wait!   0907     IMG_0912 IMG_0919 IMG_0920_new   IMG_0925   IMG_0885_new So the gifts are wrapped and now it’s time to enjoy. Off to a cookie decorating party for my son’s preschool class today. Wish me luck with 16 squirrely little ones, 32 busy hands, and 48 cookies. …………….. Now it’s your turn to show off any fun Christmas décor in your home! I will feature some of the highlights next week. I am always looking for more inspiration to add to my Pinterest boards! Please remember to link back.

The bucket is a great idea. I usually do different wrap for our extended family and put those presents in the back. Also, do you always have a train around your tree? My son would love it! I'll have think about it for next year. Happy to link up today!

I did brown last year – the dollar store has butcher-type wrapping paper with solid colored patterns on it that I buy for using throughout the year. There's a white floral that's my favorite and they also had a muted red plaid. This year I threw in some more color, but I do still love the brown. Yours look great. And I love them in the bucket!
Thanks for hosting a fun party!
