Client Update: Mini Reveal

January 6, 2012 by Courtney 41 Comments

I am sort of embarrassed to admit that when I receive an update email from a client, I do a little happy dance. It’s like I am opening a giant present. So when Kate sent me an update on their master bedroom I was giddy with excitement. She was so much fun to work with and allowed me to push the envelope with her comfort zone a bit. Here is a little peek. 020   …………………..before kate1 She started with a great space. She was hoping to break away from the beige and infuse more pattern into the space. Here is a look at the design board I came up with. kate      ………………………….. after 013 (1) I love the soft pretty tone of the gray walls with the dark furniture and yummy pops of yellow. 008 (1)012 (1) 012 008 She covered the lampshades herself with that fun floral fabric. Kate will tackle the drapes next. I think she has done an amazing job so far. Thanks for the update, Kate! Such a joy to work with you. Thank you for letting me share your new space. ……………. h a p p y   f r i day this weekend we have two things on the agenda . . . .relaxing and cleaning the garage. Hmmm. Not sure how to marry the two. Did any of you end up tossing a bunch of stuff into your garage during the holiday season like we did? It isn’t pretty. Looking forward to getting it back to normal. What will you be up to?

Looks so pretty! I love the color and pattern combo. Cleaned out our storage room this weekend and did some serious reorganizing in the process. I love it when I get in that decluttering mode – I try to make it last as long as I can, because it's usually a fleeting feeling 😉

I LOVE the grey and yellow color scheme! I got very excited when I spotted those lampshades, then very sad when you mentioned she had done them herself. I am so not crafty like that, but they are gorgeous!

Great job! I've been looking for some new pillows for my bed but haven't had much luck with finding bold graphical prints like this. I know you can't share the source of your client's items, but just wondering if you could give me some ideas of places to look? Thanks!

I'd also be doing a happy dance over that room! It's beautiful! Both of you did a great job. The fun touches of yellow really make the room pop! Love the wall color and the fabric she chose for her lamp shades. I surprised my hubby on New Year's Day with a gift of cleaning out the garage. The look on his face when I opened the foor to show his was well worth the back pain I had the next day! Have a good weekend, Courtney!

This room is great! We have dark furniture, and I want to put grey in our room instead of beige since grey is the "new neutral". Do you have any idea what paint color she used???? All the ones I am finding pull too blue. Would love to know! Thank you.

Such a wonderful change. So bright and pretty.

Tip for relaxing and cleaning a garage: get to know your local teenagers and bribe them with food and maybe a little spending money. Make sure you have lemonade and a lawn chair so you can properly supervise.
