Once a month my husband and I take the children on a date individually. Most of the time it involves food and ski ball for the boys and manicures and hot cocoa for the girls. The kids ask for these days all of the time. I think it’s pretty special to give them that undivided attention. I remember having it as a child and I loved it. The onset of Fall means even more opportunity to savor a warm drink and just talk with my daughter.
I am in awe of this little one. She is creative and has a mind all her own. She is intelligent and interesting and I hope and pray that she always wants to spend together time with me. I don’t know what I would do without it. 
This cozy cable knit sweater from J.Jill is going to be a Fall and Winter staple. It’s soft and warm and fits just right. {I’m wearing an XS, by the way}. The other reason I chose it is because my dad had a cable knit sweater this exact color growing up and it reminds me of him. While I am not really a manicure kind of girl {a few times a year for me} my daughter LOVES them. She ALWAYS goes with blue. Always.
Oh, and the photo above. . . I was fairly certain a large bug was in my hair. Can you tell by the look on my face?!

Sweet photos of you and your adorable daughter. Those special mother/daughter outings and talks are times you both will always treasure. My mom and I did the same and I keep those memories very near and dear to my heart. I love the bond you and your daughter share.

I may have teared up reading this. I have a 10 year old daughter who fascinates me, and with whom I am blessed to share such special time together. I respect her so much, and am grateful for her every day. I hope we can always be best friends!!
