Cute and Colorful Cover Ups for Summer

May 19, 2015 by Courtney 16 Comments

Can you believe summer is just around the corner? How is that even possible. There is no question time speeds up as we get older. Am I right? I love summer days at the pool and the beach. Because we live in Southern California, we are almost always outside and being safe in the sun is paramount. I am super excited to share some of my favorite finds from Cabana Life with you today. What’s even more exciting for me is that my daughter loves this brand. If you know us personally, you know that my daughter has a style of her own. Let’s just say we don’t always see eye to eye on fashion. And that’s okay. But when she went crazy for these rashguards, suits and cover ups I was crazy excited.

And for the record, I plan to exploit the matching looks until she just won’t have it anymore. I love that right now she actually wants to dress like mommy. . . at least when we are at the beach. I love the embroidery detail around the zipper, too.

LOVE this rashguard. Because of the ruching on the sides, you can wear it pulled up like a traditional shirt and be safe in the sun while out in the water or you can pull it down to create more of a dress. Also perfect if you are at the pool or on vacation and needing to walk around. Always nice to have the rear covered! Everything from Cabana Life is 50+ UV protection.

This is the first year we have let little R wear a two piece {yes, we are a tad conservative with that!}. But these are so darling and I love the ruffle detail. She is in heaven. It’s the little things.

This terry cover up had me at stripes! It’s extremely soft and 50+ UV protection. I love the detail work on it. This color combo also comes in a zippered rashguard that is super cute.

I adore each of the styles above. So darn cute for summer. You can browse all of their cute dresses and cover ups here. They also carry swimsuits, bikinis, shorts, bags and so much more.

My sweet friends over at Cabana Life are offering 20% off for my readers. And I can honestly say you’ll be thrilled with the quality and cute factor. Use this code at checkout

We plan on spending most of our summer at the beach and I love knowing we are both excited about our rashguards and cover ups {especially my daughter!}. She is definitely our little beach girl so keeping her protected from the sun is key for us. I think she would live in the water and sand if we would let her. And this year she plans to take on paddle boarding. Wish us luck.

Enjoy your day. I hope it’s a great one. Don’t forget you can check out great deals on my Boutique page anytime. Thank you to Cabana Life for sponsoring this post. Affiliate links used.

And the Kate Spade surprise sale started today. Up to 75% off. Score.

I love those mommy + me coverups! How cute! When I have kids they will definitely need coverups if they’re anywhere near as pale as I am!

Those are adorable and I love the colors! How does that rashguard fit for you? I am definitely going to check out the rest of their options!

And… We have always had our daughter in a two-piece, but only if the top and bottom pieces touch each other – no bare midriffs. Much easier for the bathroom trips 🙂

I love the fit of the rashguard. I am wearing a small. It covers my bum if I pull it down or can sit at my waist.

Nice rule on the two piece. My daughter and I were just talking about the benefits of the two piece for just that reason! Smart cookie, you are!

Thank you, Allison. R wants to put the lifeguard stand photo in her room which I love. She feels like such a big girl in the two piece. . . and the girl loves the beach so she is right at home.

Enjoy your day, too, Allison. xo

How cute are these? My girls hate that I make them wear rash guards, but they inherited their daddy’s fair skin and we’re adamant about good sun protection. I’m thinking that if we had matching rash guards they might be more keen on the idea 🙂

Good for you for insisting on them. Even though my daughter has olive skin we are still big on them. And yes. . . try matching. I can’t believe how much my daughter likes it!

I love Cabana Life! Turned my mom onto it a couple years ago and we each have a couple of their rashguards now. Perfect for when you’re several hours in at the beach and don’t want any more sun. And, I just have to say it, I have some serious butt envy right now 😉 I’m going to go do some squats now…

Oh that’s awesome. The quality and styles are so fantastic. You are cracking me up. . . girl. . . why do you think my arms are covered. I need to hit my boxing bag like nobody’s business. After our vacation, I basically stopped working out. Not cool.

Love these, especially the rash guards. I’m the same way about two-pieces with my girls, although, since they are still young (3 and 18m) I realized having two pieces are easier with diaper changes or potty trips. So now it’s one pieces or rash guard tops and bottoms. Thanks for sharing!

Oh so smart with the two pieces and diaper changes. Why didn’t anyone send me the memo on that when my daughter was younger. Genius. Have a great day, Erin.

    Hi,
Would love to order one of the cover ups/dresses – what size are you wearing?

    Thanks!
