This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Breyers Gelato Indulgences for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine. Most of you know that for my husband and me, date night is a key part of our relationship. We truly believe that it’s so important to carve out time just for each other. There is no one else I would rather spend time with, so it’s always the highlight of my week to slow down and spend time with one another. Sometimes we aren’t able to get a sitter so we choose to spend our date night in. But the key to making it a true date night is planning just a bit. We have learned over the years that if you set up the date early, there is less of a chance that you will throw in the towel and just resort to watchng TV! We always like to treat ourselves, too. This date night had Breyers Gelato Indulgences on the menu. Have you tried it? So yummy. We have tried all four flavors of Breyers Gelato Indulgences. {Vanilla Caramel, Rasberry Cheesecake, Tiramisu, and Triple Chocolate}.
No exaggeration . . . we finished the Triple Chocolate the day we bought it. But I still think that the Vanilla Caramel and Raspberry Cheesecake are our favorites. We went with Caramel for date night. And the caramelly curls on top are seriously yummy. Coffee and ice cream . . .best way to spend an evening at home. If we skip the night out and stay in, there are a few things that we do to make it special. I think the biggest one for us is trying to be outdoors. I think it allows you to put the kiddos to bed and feel like you are out despite being at home. The fresh air is always great, too. When we were first married, we would play scrabble. We have always loved chatting over games and the competitive banter that comes along with it. It’s just fun and allows you to talk and laugh. I love how our patio string lights glow the later it gets. It’s a fun and romantic spot to be. And when you give a girl some gelato there is really no going wrong! So what about you? What do you think your favorite flavor of Breyers Gelato Indulgences would be? Do you ever do date night in? I would love to hear your tips for making it a fun and special night. Have a wonderful long weekend! We are looking forward to our son’s birthday party. And I will be back tomorrow with my Saturday Shopping post.

Such a good idea. I'm so excited for date nights in and not needing a babysitter. I love the idea of playing board games and making it special by taking it outside and having yummy dessert! Have a great holiday weekend!

Thank you for writing a sponsored post that still sounds like you. I find that other bloggers often lose their "voice" when doing a sponsored post.
For our date nights in, we always have to have music, so we try to create a playlist for the evening. We also like games, and our favorite is Yahtzee!

We love date nights, too, and try to do it at least once a week! So important for a relationship. You and your hubby are so cute!! We don't have kids but with my husband's crazy business travel we find it's important to take the time to connect and check in with one another. Our family growing up would have board game night once a week and Scrabble was a favorite! putting that Vanilla Caramel Gelato on my shopping list! Your outdoor area is so pretty with the lights – magical and romantic. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs.
