No grand DIY project to share today. Last night was date night for us. We didn’t do anything too glamorous. We went down to a great local place called Bru and grabbed dinner and drinks. It happens to be a favorite of ours. It was a fantastic night and I feel refreshed to start the day off right today. We are very fortunate as our darling niece is able to babysit so when we are out the children get to spend quality time with their cousin. We know we are lucky. Date nights are a priority around here. We have always felt that if we are strong and devoted as a couple, than our kiddos will be a direct result of that. And I am sort of in love with this man so spending a night out once a week with him isn’t so bad! Oh, and the navy and white striped dress is from Old Navy {they have some crazy cute things right now if you are interested!}. What about you? Do you do date night? enjoy your day.
Good for you!! I hope you guys enjoyed and that little dress looks too cute.
I feel like I am in a stage of life where I am past going to weddings all the time, past going to baby showers all the time, and am now hearing about friends' marriages breaking up on a regular basis. It stinks. It's always good to hear about a couple celebrating their union on a daily basis. Good for you for nurturing your marriage!
How cute are you guys??? Date Nights are a definite must in our house as well! Todd and I have had date night once a week since our first born was 6 weeks 😉
You guys are adorable! No wonder he's taking you on the town all the time…got to show you off! We need to start having smaller more casual date nights, like a weeknight dinner…if we wait for the 'big one' on the weekend, it usually just doesn't happen. Glad you had fun…and your marriage is such a great gift for your kids!!
This is a great picture! The background is gorgeous.
You look adorable! It's date night TONIGHT for us! We are so excited to have some alone time while my niece babysits. We are going to dinner at where we went the night of our first kiss. 🙂
So cute! Glad you all had a fun evening. Your necklace is fabulous also!
Too cute!

Well if you two aren't just the *CUTEST*!!! I'm a huge proponent of date night, it's so important! Especially when you're raising little ones and adult time is a precious commodity (c; And L-O-V-E *everything* about your date outfit…beware, I'm coming to steal your necklace (c;
What a wonderful tradition to get some alone time and stay connected! What a great inspiration. That picture is beautiful!
We need to. Thanks for the reminder. And I LOVE your necklace. 🙂

Yay for date night!!! Fun! I love your dress and necklace 🙂
You two are a beautiful couple. We don't have kids but my hubby and I have date night once a week. It's quality time for us away from computers, TVs and we have a rule…no checking his phone for messages while we're out. Love your dress. I bought the same on in the black with white stripes. Super comfy.
Ok, you are one HOT mama!! Love that you two have date nights…Ryan and I will definitely follow along on that tradition! 🙂
I miss you guys…..

We don't do them nearly enough. Love the weeknight idea, why haven't I thought of that before now?! Totally loving the dress too (and anything in navy and white stripes)…think I will be ordering that little gem from ON soon! Glad you had fun!
Good for you! Love the dress, and the picture of you two is so sweet. Ha…every night is date night around here now that we are empty nesters!!
We don't have kids yet, but we do make date night (or day) a priority, too. We both work, my husband travels for his job, and we have fairly demanding families, so if we don't set aside time for ourselves it's easy to go ages without time alone (and I don't count time doing chores in the house). We figure that we're strengthening our bond as a couple and when we do have kids, we plan to keep this up. Like you said – happy parents=happy kids!
You are the most gorgeous couple ever. I love how in love you are, kudos for keeping date night a priority!
xo,
Jen
Very cute picture! Glad you two had fun 🙂
We used to go out every Friday night when our youngest was 13 and had a 10:00 curfew. In those hours, we had dinner and reconnected. I think it's so important! We needed that when our children were younger…mostly me as I was with them all day! Now that they are older, date night can mean just watching a movie together at home snuggled on the sofa!
Love the dress! 🙂
XO,
Jane
Love this!! xxxoo
I agree..a nice little simple evening out is perfect for us too. We really don't need anything too fancy to feel refreshed. Glad you had a nice time!
I totally agree with you; date night should be a priority and a strong marriage makes for a strong family. I wish my husband and I trusted other people to take care of our babies so we could do weekly date nights. I love your dress and necklace!
You two are so stinkin' cute! So happy for you!
I'm taking notes, furiously! : ) Once my little man is old enough to stay with a sitter, David and I will have to establish a date night like this. I totally agree that your marriage must be rock solid in order for you both to be good parents! Great post.
