Last week I posted the details on painting stripes in our son’s closet. Thank you for all of the sweet comments. He is still loving his space and when people come over he says, “Wanna see my closet?!” I wanted to break it down a little more. I have heard from many of you wanting to know where things came from. Here is the story: Many items we already had. Part of why we wanted to do this is because we recently lost our beloved Gramps and he had worked tirelessly on Grady’s wooden trucks. They are beautifully made and such a treasure. Gramps wanted Grady to play with them and enjoy them so we wanted to have them accessible as well as really teach him to take care of his special special toys. They are priceless. SOURCE LIST:
Clock: Target $4 Lizard: HomeGoods $12 {gift} Green Oval Metal Buckets: Target $2.50 Green bins with white rims: Target $5 Polka Dot Metal Pail: HomeGoods $12 Share Your Toys Sign: HomeGoods: $20 Lamp Shade: World Market $9 {I think. Have had it for months} Two White Bookcases: Free from Grammy & Papa {our toys and books were in them growing up} Paint: Galaxy Black Disney Color {not easy finding deep deep navy blue!} 1 quart baskets and print on top shelf: from his nursery bankers boxes: Target $10 for six Hope that helps if you are planning to do some organizing yourself. And thank you to everyone who was so sweet about feeling overwhelmed in yesterday’s post. It seemed to be a common thread throughout many posts yesterday. Must be the season! And did you happen to see the post from Bernadette over at Chic Spaces for Little Faces? She posted about Hop Skip Jump Paper prints and this one stopped me in my tracks! Think the hubs needs to “add to cart!” too cute. have a great day. Sharing with My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia Home Stories A 2 Z

Gramps would be so happy to see Grady's special space for the toys he so lovingly constructed. Uncle Rob hopes to complete the 4th one in his memory.

Just curious because I would love to do something like this!
Thanks!
