Easy Activities To Do With Kids

Like most children, my kiddos love hands on activities and doing crafts with me. We always try to foster a sense of imagination and allow enough time in the day to just draw, doodle, create or make. A while back, our wonderful Grandma Sue sent the children their first Kiwi Crate and they absolutely loved it. Well, this summer, Kiwi Crate sent us a box of activities to do with the kids. Once again, it didn’t disappoint. We dove into the box of craft supplies the other day and my children made boats to race. ………………………. craft time … Here is a look at the box when we opened it up. Have you seen that show? If not, it’s basically teams competing to make the tastiest cupcakes with the most original decorations, flavors and display. So if you are looking for something fun to do you may want to try this out. We bake cupcakes together {out of the box, people. You know I am not a baker}. Then I give the kids fun items to decorate their cupcakes with. It is always different and we often do a theme. Once that is done, they draw up plans and build a display for their cupcakes. And nothing major. . . but one might decorate a shoebox and put them on that. Or they have asked me to take a cake stand out and they add their own embellishments. It’s always super fun and they love using a countdown clock in the end. There is something about hearing, “5-4-3-2-1” that they love.
