Thank you to everyone for the very sweet birthday wishes yesterday! I really appreciate it and felt so loved. Today I am back with a fun and refreshing dessert. My sister threw the most amazing and personalized graduation party for my niece. Everything was so thoughtfully done. These are one of the desserts she made and I as soon as I saw them I knew I needed to share them with all of you. I wish I could pass the tray to you! These are non alcoholic. The name shooters is because of the cute mini glasses in which they are served! Seriously yummy and perfect for summer. Here is how to make them: strawberry shortcake shooters use 2 oz glasses {called shooters} ingredients: store bought angel food cake fresh strawberries sugar cool whip fresh mint leaves {shaved chocolate is optional} what to do: Cube the angel food cake and set aside. Finely chop the fresh strawberries and mix with a bit of sugar. Let stand for 30 minutes. Layer the cake and strawberries in the glasses. Refrigerate for up to four hours. Top with cool whip and a mint leaf. You can also add a bit of shaved chocolate on top! Insert a small spoon for serving! cheers to summertime!
