Entertaining: Individual Menus

January 2, 2013 by Courtney 24 Comments

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you were able to celebrate with good friends and family. I am so excited about the fresh start of a new year and tackling the many goals I set for myself. My mantra this year is, “Make it happen.” Whether it’s small personal goals, creative aspirations, or spending more time with special people, I am hoping to cling to the idea of just making it happen. I am firm believer in the idea that if you truly want something than it can absolutely come to fruition. So from giving back more to taking quiet time each day for myself, I intend to make it happen. Here’s hoping I can stick to it! I hosted Christmas dinner for the first time this year. We normally host Christmas eve so it was really fun to switch it up this year. I know Christmas has come and gone but I wanted to show you a little bit of what we did for our table.   IMG_1099   The Christmas table was really simple with a theme of red and white. The candy cane paper down the middle of the table created a more whimsical feel. Because I kept things so simple I thought it would be fun to have a menu at each person’s spot. I am considering creating a tutorial to show you how I created these. They could work for any dinner party or special event that you host. IMG-1084_2   IMG_1089 As I said, I am happy to work on a tutorial for how to make something like this if you would be interested. If you think it is something you would use, please leave me a comment below. …………….. In other news, I was so honored to be included in Jennifer’s Great Reads 2012. She is the author of the fantastic blog, Rambling Renovators. I loved being introduced to some really inspirational people by reading through the past entries.  Thank you for including me, Jennifer. And I have already been bit by the organizational bug in 2013. I will be previewing a project tomorrow that I have put together for I Heart Organizing. Speaking of, get those projects ready as I will be hosting another Keep C.A.L.M. and Organize On link party very soon! Can’t wait to see what great ideas the new year brings! enjoy your day!

Happy New Year sweet friend! I'd love the tutorial – but let's also talk about the twice baked shrimp stuffed potatoes!!! Oh my – I plan to give up white potatoes all together this year – but that recipe could easily change my mind! 😉
