Boy is it nice to be home with the family. I can’t wait to share more about my trip with the Michaels Makers. Honored to be included and so grateful to all of the people who made the trip so special. But there is always something so wonderful about returning home and hugging the sweet people you missed. The cooking and loads of laundry are always a nice dose of reality, too!
One thing I have noticed this coming season are all of the fun Fall prints. Whether it’s a great dress, scarf or top, the prints are such a fun addition to the wardrobe. I am stepping outside of my comfort zone with a fun red mini dress. I love the print and the high neck makes this look work.
The long sleeves and high neckline paired with the short hemline are reminiscent of the 60s. I love this cut. It’s fun and flirty but still a classic look. I am 5’7″ for reference. The tassel bag is one I’ve had for sometime now.

I chose to keep it casual with the light colored booties but you could wear this for a night out with these black ones.
Do you remember this vest? I love this piece. I have worn it over so many of my dresses as well as with jeans. It falls really nicely and matches everything.
vest | jeans | tank | similar bag | booties | similar necklace | sunglasses
Here it is paired with jeans and a tank as we transition into Fall. You can see more of this look here.
Bold Prints for Fall
Did you know that J.Crew has teamed up with Nordstrom and you can now shop darling J.Crew styles through Nordies? I like this turn of events! These tops are all so darling for fall. They are fresh and classic and oh so cute. The striped top is $39 and a timeless choice.

CUTE FALL DRESSES
These cute Fall dresses will look great with flats, booties or boots. The striped one is definitely on my radar. I really like the longer short sleeve (is that a thing?) and the higher neck. Such a fun style.
What are you up to on this Friday? I am looking forward to spending time with my mom and getting some things done around the house. It’s funny but the dust doesn’t go away on it’s own. Wishing you a great end to your week.

That red print dress is gorgeous! I also love the black and white French Connection dress! Ironically, I was just on the Old Navy website looking for workout wear (because maybe new gear will inspire me to workout?!), and I notice they have a very similar one for a quarter of the price! Definitely not the quality of FC (love their stuff), but I may try it since, with a 1 and 7-year old, I need to choose carefully where to wear the $100+ items! 🙂 Thank you for all the inspiration! http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=91340&vid=1&pid=281183032

I love this red dress on you. In fact, I’m really loving your style posts in general. I’ve bought several items you have recommended. I can’t tell from this picture the fabric used on the dress. Do you think it would be appropriate for a cocktail reception? My husband has a cocktail reception in early December with colleagues (not overly fancy) and I never know what to wear. I’m trying to shop early this year! I’d love to see your recommendations for something like that.

May I ask what size are you wearing? I am your hight and pretty much similar body. They didn’t have the small. I ordered medium. Can’t wait.
