Falling into the Season: Our Mantel

September 28, 2011 by Courtney 23 Comments

It finally looks a bit like fall around here! While at Trader Joes, I picked up one pumpkin and a couple of mini ones. That seemed to do the trick for getting me motivated. I used a previous post for inspiration. For the rest of the décor I shopped the house. With the use of leaves, burlap, a few more pumpkins, and wine charms, the mantel is now sporting it’s Fall 2011 look. IMG_4481 IMG_4444 My parents had given us wine tags last year from Pottery Barn. There is every letter of the alphabet so I spelled out “Gather” and attached them to the burlap. Hard to see in the photos, but they add another layer that I really like. IMG_4451 IMG_4465IMG_4478IMG_4483 IMG_4429 Sadly, we still aren’t sporting any gas logs for our fireplace {Santa, are you listening?} so I decided it might as well serve as another spot for fall décor. I picked up the glam-pumpy at HomeGoods for $10. I couldn’t resist a little bit of shimmer. IMG_4443-1 I am linking this up to the fall mantel party! You should too. Come join the fun. I WISH I had the need for a mantel, but I think it's hot enough here already.

This is so, so pretty. I never decorate for Fall. You just might have inspired me.

By the way, great minds think alike. Your green couch pillow is the same as my living room curtains. 🙂

Natasha took the words right out of my mouth! I agree….your gorgeous Fall mantle should be in a magazine! You did a beautiful job, Courtney. Love the glam pumpkin and the fun banner. I'm headed out tomorrow to pick up a pumpkin and get going on a little decorating for the season.
