I am super excited to be sharing my second Michaels Makers project with you today! If you missed it, I dished up S’more Fun last month. Michaels is releasing a new line of products called Raw Bar and the Michaels Makers got an exclusive sneak peek! The new Raw Bar line will be available in all Michaels stores nationwide starting August 7. Because it is summer and Farmers Markets abound, I thought it would be fun to put together a gift basket. It’s something that would be darling for a hostess gift, a housewarming, or just to spread some summer cheer. It even includes a yummy peach cobbler recipe. Who doesn’t love peach cobbler? And the fresh peaches and sunflowers pair so well with all of the natural elements of the raw bar. The mason jar adds a touch of Farmers Market charm. The cute little chalkboard sign has a piece of cork ribbon clipped to it. Then I used the small clothespins to include a peach cobbler recipe. The directions are on the back. And yes, I pulled a blonde moment and listed some ingredients twice. Fixed it after the photo shoot! Good times. here is the proper recipe! Peach Cobbler
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar, divided
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup milk
- 4 cups fresh peach slices
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Ground cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)
Melt butter in a 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Combine flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt; add milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour batter over butter (do not stir). Bring remaining 1 cup sugar, peach slices, and lemon juice to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly; pour over batter (do not stir). Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired. Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve cobbler warm or cool. via Southern Living These little burlap bags can be used for so many different things. I may need to set a table with them as placecards. Stenciling each guest’s initial on them would be fun. To create the natural looking bottle, I wrapped it in craft paper and used a chalk pen to write “cheers.” The burlap bag is tied on with a cute little raw bar spool. I simply tied jute around the spool and then wrapped it around the wine bottle. So easy. A new wine stopper for the host is tucked inside the burlap bag. The materials being offered in the upcoming Raw Bar line are inspired by nature include textures such as burlap, cork, chalk board, wood and canvas. Raw Bar items I used:
- chalkboard metal bin
- burlap bag
- cork
- small chalkboard sign
- mini clothespins
- wooden spool
I think the chalkboard bin makes it extra special. Whoever you give it to can use it for so many things. Or keep it for yourself! I could see on for each child on a nearby surface for school papers or lunches. Really cute. Ours has been on our dining room table with fresh flowers and fruit. Below you can check out how the rest of the Michaels Makers used their Raw Bar items! Have a look around!

Adorable! And, just FYI…I think you meant darling (not daring). Although depending on what you put in the basket it could be daring??? 😉

I love this idea so much! I think so many of us want to use our new kitchen right away when moving to a new home — what a perfect idea to help someone make their home even that much warmer! 🙂
