It’s getting close, ladies. To my husband and dad, please stop reading. I do have to give a sweet shout out to both men in my life who read my blog daily. So supportive. And so hard to buy for. I think men have it easy because they can pick out any piece of jewelry or handbag and score with us. But it’s hard to buy for the men in my family. So I am always searching for clever ideas. I met a friend for lunch at Nordstrom Cafe the other day and saw this in the cute home department. My husband jokingly says that phrase all the time so that is a winner for sure.
When Nordstrom invited me to peruse their gifts for dads I thought it would be fun to round them up in different categories. Maybe it will make shopping for the man in your life a bit easier. Or at least spark an idea or two.

I really love a personalized gift so that steel mug is right up my alley as something I would give. Any time I can monogram something I am all over it. And that apron! Too good.
When He Wants to Look Good

I feel like these are always great gifts because men rarely buy any of this for themselves. Am I right?
monogram mug | sunglasses | dad sign | shirt | ties | mule
And if I had an unlimited budget, this is what my husband would be getting. They all have his name written all over them. I especially love the grouping of ties. Spot on style wise.
And here is the towel I was talking about before. As soon as I saw it I knew we needed it for Ryan. Done and done.
Suit and Tie . . . Suit and Tie {lil’ justin reference}
And let’s be honest. Sometimes the go to gift is a good ole’ shirt and tie. They need them. They look good in them. And if your man is anything like mine, he doesn’t love shopping for himself.
Now let’s be clear. All of these fun gifts pale in comparison to the homemade cards that the kiddos will make for Daddy on Father’s Day. There is just something about the pride in their eyes when they deliver those to him. And it’s normally after they have attempted to serve him cereal in bed. . . and spilled a good amount of milk while doing so. But that’s ok. It’s life. And then mommy swoops in with a wrapped up gift. Just keeping it real. Have a great day, friends.
And don’t forget you can see all of my favorite picks over at the boutique.

Oh that makes me so happy! Thanks or telling me. I am just hoping my husband doesn’t read this post today . . . or he’ll be far less surprised on the 20th! Have a great day. xo
