Favorite Projects of 2012

December 30, 2012 by Courtney 24 Comments

One of my favorite parts of approaching a new year, is reflecting upon the one that is coming to an end. While I intend to do much soul searching and goal setting as I try to do each year, I also enjoy looking back at ways in which I have been productive. I think we all feel a sense of accomplishment by checking things off of our lists. It somehow allows us to feel a sense of control over our daily lives. There is no denying I love a good project and often get sucked into them. Whether they were little or large, here is a look back at some of my finished projects from 2012. IMG_7637 {brass cornered frames} IMG_7055 {big boy room reveal} ropevases {rope vases} image {lined shelves} IMG_7973 {gallery wall}   IMG_7945 {semi custom headboard}   a thoughtful place {striped dresser} reversible table a thoughtful place {reversible coffee table/game table} poweder room a thouhtful place {distressed mirror and powder room updates} 2012-03-26 {jewelry nook and custom drapes} I am so very very grateful for all of you who stop by my blog to browse, read, take a quick glance at photos or even pause to comment. It means so very much to me and I am thankful to each and every one of you. I am excited for the year ahead and all that I have planned for A Thoughtful Place. Happy New Year to you and your families. c h e e r s !

Such great ideas! I love the fabric-lined shelves. I'm going to try and figure out how to modify this for the built-ins in my family room. Don't think I can use a glue gun directly onto the wall. Looking forward to more ideas in the new year!

I am so in love with the first picture that I had to save it as one of my "things I loooove" for when I finally get to purchase my first home and figure out what my style is. Thanks for being so inspirational! Have a wonderful new year 🙂

You were very productive. I did the same thing this year – looked backward – and saw that I had actually achieved a lot. As soon as I post my comment I am heading to your post on the rope vases. Love them.

Your projects are amongst the prettiest out there, but what I love most is your ability to do them on such a great budget, and your eye for transforming the typical into amazing. You did so many lovely things this past year!

    Love you!
