Happy Friday, friends! This week flew over here. I honestly can’t believe it’s Friday. We were able to go on a double date with some really dear friends of ours on Wednesday and it was just the mid-week pick me up we needed. It’s always so nice to break up the routine and enjoy quality time with good friends. We are big sushi fans so we hit up one of our favorite spots. The rest of the week was filled with Tae Kwan Do, ballet and planning outfits for school spirit day {um. . . disco day . . .anyone, anyone? Not the easiest day to dress for when you are five and seven}. In any event, when I was under the weather I had plenty of time to pin some really lovely images. My foyer board is growing and the funny thing is that I don’t even have a foyer. Maybe that is why I am so drawn to these images. CHARMING HOOKS ,,, stunning foyer from muskoka We can all admit this home is obviously over the top beautiful. But let’s look beyond that for a moment and see that all they have done here is hang a mirror and some charming hooks. So well done. It does not take up a great deal of space but there is even a mirror to check lipstick before grabbing your cute boots and handbag! ACCENT WALL ,,, styling an entryway | the everygirl I have this striped container. I use it in our garage to hold our beach towels. Super cute. But what struck me about this image from The Everygirl is that it really could be replicated anywhere. You could create this vignette as an office or desk space. It could be one corner of a bedroom, living room, or a welcoming entrance to a small apartment. I am loving the deep blues I am seeing everywhere and this is no exception. USE A COAT CLOSET ,,, foyer from a coat closet | BHG GENIUS. Forget the coat closet. Take off the doors and create a foyer space. This piece is beautiful and functional. Bottom line, this clearly made this space look so much larger and more beautiful then seeing a closet door when you walk in. I love this. A TINY TABLE ,,, beautiful foyer | country living | photo wallander While this is more of a traditional foyer, it is still quite tight on space and is so well styled. A simple table and a basket for odds and ends. The basket also softens the look and adds texture. I am a fan of baskets around so that I can quickly clean up if friends are dropping by. Always nice to have a spot to round up the random toys and “stuff.” JUST FAKE IT! ,,, create a foyer that does not exist | source Ok. This is genius. Create a window effect with mirrors and a floating shelf. Seriously smart. This reminds me of my home as we have no foyer at all. But I am staring at my door right now and it opens the other way. Is it just me, or is this door funky? Or is my door funky? Hmmm. Hope one of these inspires you if you are tight on space in your foyer. Enjoy the weekend, everyone! Love the plant in #3 – I think "green" brings life to any area. As for the funky door – I do think this is unusual. My back entry has the opening on the right, but abuts the short wall when ajar. Now I'm going to observe every door I enter! 🙂

I never really thought about it. It must just matter based on your room set up.

Perfect timing! We are replacing our double front doors with a dutch door with side lites so this will fit in perfectly!

These are all beautiful. I especially love the entryway on the Everygirl. Those stripes, the navy wall color, that hot pink, the rustic wood…it's just perfect. Happy Friday Courtney and wishing you a fabulous weekend. I am going to send you an email later on.

All fantastic ideas! I think a common trend is finding a great mirror for a foyer!

I love #4! I have been looking for a table like that for so long! I have the lamp and stuff to put on it, but I NEED that table! LOL and I do have a foyer, and a coat closet to create that look — but then what to do with the coats? We live in the north! Would love your suggestion.

Lots of inspiration. We have a traditional foyer in the front (our front door opens to the left), and a tiny area by the garage door (it too opens to the left, but there are three doors in that small space…garage, coat closet and laundry…crazy). I have an Ikea piece there now, but not loving it. Hard space as it is tiny, limited wall space and our alarm panel/light switch are on that wall! Might have to pick your brain someday on this one. I have threatened to open the entire space up and create a giant mudroom!!! Hubby just rolls his eyes.

I saw #5 and thought, oh perfect, as that is how my tiny entrance is….and then I read your comment about the door….yeah, my door opens the other way too, DARN…I think ours are "normal" or not! Ha! It must be a garage entrance….soooo, I keep trying to figure something out! Please post a pic if you do something creative with that space girl!
