Happy Friday, everyone! It could not have come sooner for me this week. I am really excited to announce a new partnership with Michael’s. I find myself at their store almost weekly purchasing fun things for blog projects or parties. As one of the Michaels Makers I will be challenged to create a fun and simple craft each month. Have you seen The Glue String yet? It’s their new craft blog and it’s seriously legit. I had a crazy week so I was able to search the site and choose a ready made project. It basically placed everything I need in my cart with one click. Bam. Check out how I created a twist on the darling Silverware Holder kit Michael’s has available.
I took the makings of silverware holders and switched it up. We gather with dear friends on the Fourth of July each year and it’s always fun to have a special snack or dessert while we watch the fireworks. This year, we will bust out s’mores and everyone will receive their own personalized pack. This could not have been easier. I cut each bag down about an inch and then used the adhesive tape {where has this been all my life. . double sided and crazy strong} to adhere a strip of ribbon. Then I used a Martha Stewart punch I have to create the personalized labels. I just printed the names on white cardstock, cut and mounted on a larger red circle. Done and done! I also scooped up this cute galvanized Oval Tub for under $7.00. Thought it would be great for many occasions. After printing out a sign and mounting on red cardstock, I clipped it to the bin with a cute windmill clip I found at Michaels. The striped napkin I already had on hand. So how about you? Do you already have set plans for the Fourth of July? I think these s’more packs might keep the kids quite happy well into the night. You can see other ready to go project kits here. Enjoy your weekend. We are planning an extended few days of rest!
