Friday Eye Candy

October 16, 2015 by Courtney 3 Comments

Well, we made it to Friday, my friends! I always love being able to share beautiful inspiration that I find either on Instagram or via the Internet. It’s easy to sometimes feel like we don’t measure up or that these images are unattainable. I speak from experience as my once organized garage looks like a bomb went off. I cringe every time my neighbors walk by. But rather than feel overwhelmed or envious of these spaces, I like to just enjoy them and absorb little bits of inspiration here and there. For instance, each space below has some pretty fresh stems. That is enough to encourage me to cut some from my own yard and ditch the dead flowers I am currently staring at. No joke. The vase on my coffee table is hosting dead, pink flowers. So you see my friends, it’s not about longing over these spaces but finding a little nudge here and there to kick me into gear. And they really do make great eye candy.

A breath of fresh air, right?! I mean really. Coming from a girl who does not have a window over her sink, this makes my heart happy. I could wash dishes and daydream gazing out that window all day long.

A have quite the nautical/preppy side to me and this speaks to that. What a beautiful interior. And the trim on those drapes! Love that. You could easily replicate that with grosgrain ribbon!

All I can think is, “Does this little one know how lucky she is to be growing up in that kitchen!” Ha. Yes, I know it’s about more than a pretty kitchen, but dang! That’s a nice one. The simplicity and waterfall edge are stunning.

This really speaks to me as I am gearing up to tackle a desk space for our son and I am dreaming about redoing our playroom. So much goodness here from these girls. What a clever, clever use of space.

Look at that beautiful, soft color on the walls and the earth tones in the rug. All so gorgeous. And what a great example of how every room stands to benefit from one dark piece. The desk grounds the room and adds so much dimension. I could get a lot of work done in there! I just know it.

Did these spaces inspire you to look at things differently? Maybe just treat yourself to a pretty bunch of flowers. It’s often the little things that don’t only transform a space, but our attitudes. Wishing you all a great weekend. We are headed to watch our dear friends get married and we can hardly wait. I ended up buying this dress and am super excited to wear it. And hello! It’s been price matched and is 25% off. I think I will call and see if I can get a price adjustment. See you back here tomorrow for a fun edition of Saturday Shopping.

    Courtney,
Don’t even get me started talking about garage mess. I love that all of these rooms are all so fresh and airy. I think they all have a lot of white in them and that leaves a nice light feel. At least you know your signature style and what you like!!!
