Friday Eye Candy: Drapes & Artwork

February 10, 2012 by Courtney 18 Comments

What do you get when you take an outdated 1970s Williamsburg-style home and combine it with the talented owners Ann Shipp and Roger Higgins {owners of R. Higgens Interiors}? Pure perfection. Wow. What a beautiful redesign featured in Traditional Home Magazine. What struck me most was the way they accessorized the walls. Some really great eye candy and simple ideas to take away! These etchings are from Florence. So beautiful. Such a versatile set of artwork. Would work in any space. The saturated walls mixed with the citrine drapes is really so striking. And those blue glasses are pretty darn amazing as well. Beautiful marble tile. I love the dark door as well. I thought this was interesting. I haven’t seen a long framed photo with smaller frames on top. I just love the peek of that sunburst mirror in the larger mirror. And the deep paint color in the dining room. So beautiful. Reminds me of Michelle’s dining room from Ten June. I have had a lot of questions about drapery lately. This is a perfect example of how you can handle a corner with windows. I love the bamboo shades paired with the heavy drapery. Very pretty. {all photos via traditional home} ……………………………….. thank you to the very sweet anna from a newfound treasure for letting me chat about what  I heart! image hop on over and tell her I say hi! happy weekend to you all

I'm visiting from I Heart Organizing. You have a nice writing style and a good mix of topics for you posts. I enjoyed my time here. I like the gallery wall of Florence prints very, very much — that's my favorite sort of souvenir — the kind that is beautiful, useful, and evokes great memories. from Lori @ In My Kitchen, In My Life http://inmykitcheninmylife.blogspot.com/

I've been wondering about corner windows lately too because we have some large corner windows in our new house. I like the way they just did the drapes in the corner instead of on all ends.

Love how they painted the molding in the dining room the same color as the walls. So pretty!

These pics are all so *SWANKY*…I'm not really sure why, but I completely zoned in on that leather wingback and ottoman in the 2nd picture…gah, they are gorgeous! I'm always a sucker for that color leather, be it a chair or a pair of boots, gets me every time!!!
