Friday Eye Candy: Calming Bedrooms

May 25, 2012 by Courtney 12 Comments

Happy Friday to you all! The week seemed to fly by. I have restful bedrooms on my mind as a super sweet client of ours is trying to narrow down her wish list. Here are a few inspirational photos I have put together. They all say, “Come in and relax.” image via pinterest via lauren conrad   Simple furnishings and a magnificent view are the perfect pair for a guest bedroom. cottage guest bedroom from Southern Living Light Blue Bedroom Restful Retreat via Southern Living architect Howard J. These bedrooms are absolutely lovely! I think the best part is that they are still interesting and no where near boring, even though they are restful. I struggle with achieving that balance in my master. Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂

Sunburst mirrors. Ahhhhh. I see them everywhere (because they are awesome!). It's like when you get a new car, say a yellow one (not that I personally care to drive a yellow car, but work with me, Lol), you start to see yellow cars everywhere. Right? Well…I've had sunburst mirrors on my brain and have actually had the "fixin's" to make one for several years ("Prompt" is not my middle name), so I actually decided to probably, I think, more than likely, replace my vinyl wall monogram over our master bed, with a lo and behold, sunburst mirror. These gorgeous pictures are confirmation. Gracias! (And I am digging the gold. Heehee. No pun intended.)

I also recently changed our bedding to all white. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the restful look of it. So light and airy. The other felt visually and literally, physically heavy. Been wanting to post about it, but time is not something I have much of! Such is life.

Love today's inspiration! I know you'll help your client pick out just the right touches for her room. I've never seen a bad anything from you. 🙂

Enjoy the long weekend. My oldest turns…[GASP]…11 on Monday! (He was actually born on Memorial Day and memorable it was…oh my goodness…but that's a story for another day. 😉

All lovely bedrooms. Love the minty green wall in the first one. The gold and mint is a pretty combination. Wow! The view from the bedroom in Napa is breath taking. Enjoy the long weekend Courtney.
