Friday Eye Candy: Chic Kid Spaces

February 25, 2011 by Courtney 30 Comments

Wow! Is it Friday already! Today’s eye candy is inspired by my kiddos. I have been enamored with all things designed for children as we embark on making our son’s nursery a “big boy” room. I struggle with letting go of the “baby” room, but am so excited to see him enjoy a new space. In light of that, I decided to show you some very inspiring spaces for kids of various ages. I chose spaces that can be replicated without moving heaven and earth. I think it is so important for children to have a space of their own . . .no matter how small or large it may be. So without further ado, here are some chic spaces for children!

I can’t get over the print on this chair. With the creamy white walls. Good stuff.

Loving the fresh white with the turquoise. We just hung pink and white pom poms in my daughter’s room. Such a fun and inexpensive way to add some color and texture.

I am just so inspired by the stripes in the closet, the headboard and the overall color scheme.

Amazing what a graphic design on the wall can do.

Next Friday you will have a treat as  my girl Cassie from Hi Sugarplum! inspires us with Eye Candy from her own home. E n j o y   y o u r    w e e k e n d !

These are awesome! I will soon need to redo my little one's room too. When we did her room originally we specifically didn't go too 'baby', so we wouldn't have to change much. These are some great ideas!

I just popped over from another blog and was very very impressed with your stripe drapes. I know the saga of wanting something specific then having to make them yourself. Going to be your newest follower.

Exactly the inspiration I need… only I have trouble with my focus! I often struggle between too toddler & too big kid. I really love the first picture, the bold roman shade just speaks to me!

Oh those are just amazing!! I would love to do something fun like that for my kids but I fear that they would never use them, other than their bedrooms! They like to be where we are, which isn't bad, but there are days that they need their own space! 🙂

    Superb eyecandy!!!Thank you!!!
It's funny, I am also holding on to my daughter's nursery and delaying as much as possible to do her toddler room (even though it's already designed and set in my head!) – I guess it's hard to separate the mother from the designer! 🙂

Thanks for sharing the inspiration, I need all I can get! I'm trying to come up with what to do for my little one's transition to a "big girl" room. I think I'm making it more difficult than it needs to be, but I just want to make sure it's perfect 🙂
