The closet office isn’t a new phenomenon. In fact, the cloffice gets more and more chic these days. With my little missy growing up, she has requested a desk in her room. You can see our room plan here. I love the idea of her having a spot to write and draw and if a desk makes her feel more grown up and special than I am all about it. We are shifting some furniture around and I think the closet office might be a fun spot for a new desk. While office is a bit of a stretch for a soon to be seven year old, you know where I am going with this. A fun cozy spot with a desk, paper, and coloring tools. That ought to do it. While we don’t need a full blown office like the ones below, they are all incredible and offer little ideas I may be able to adapt and borrow! ……………………the closet office {source} {source} Okay, so maybe this one above is more for me! So amazing. I want to move in. {source} {source} This last one speaks to me as this is the size we are talking about. We are willing to give up half of her closet if we do this. So size is key. I love the photos and of course the stripes. We all know I am addicted to stripes. Seeing as though she has a gray and white striped dresser, we may have to try out a different print in the closet! …. In other news, if anyone needs me I will be covered head to toe while I attempt to paint my daughter’s ceiling. This ought to be good. My husband has already said, “You’ll need to wear goggles, too. Oh, I can’t wait to see this!” Wish me luck as my family sits back and enjoys the show! happy weekend!

Hahaha. Sounds like a fun weekend. 😉 I have a few ceilings on my to-do list too–I have been stalling and stalling though. HA! Love your inspiration photos…can't wait to see what you come up with.

So I'm a total lurker and then see not one but two of my cloffices featured here today! Thank you! The one right below mine is actually from my blog The Blooming Hydrangea as well. 🙂 You totally need a cloffice after you make one for your daughter of course. So in case you can't tell, I love them! Also have you seen Kariann from Thistlewood Farms closet under the stairs? Totally amazing!

Love this idea! We had talked about turning the closet in our upstairs tv room into a craft/office space. But, we now have decided to use the entire room now that we have the basement space. Good luck with the ceiling. Painting ceilings is one thing I do NOT do anymore!!!

What a great option for a kid's space! I'm sure your daughter will love it! You're brave to tackle painting the ceiling, but if I know you, it will be stunning! Hope you're having a great weekend!

Riley must be so excited about her new room and her desk space. She sounds darling Courtney. Happy painting! You are smart to wear goggles! I learned the hard way and ended up with blue paint in my eyes and polka dot hair. Might want a hat, too! Enjoy your weekend.

I can't wait to see the new cloffice. 🙂 I just painted my kitchen ceiling and only dripped once. 😀 I was very proud of myself. I'm usually a bit of a mess maker when painting. The trick is to use a 5 gal bucket, use a paint screen for the roller so there won't be too much paint when you move from bucket to ceiling and the best tip is SLOW and EASY when rolling. I am sure you have done many painting jobs. Just passing along what I have to remember every time. Especially when I do a ceiling. Oh, and one last "tip". When your arm gets tired take a Pinterest break. That ceiling aint goin anywhere.

Good luck with the ceiling painting! Love the idea of a little desk in the closet. I used to have one of those desks that folded down and when I was done, I just folded it back up into a cabinet. I thought that was SO cool! 😉
