Happy Friday! Over here in our home, we are very “cozy” as I like to call it. That is my way of saying that we are a bit short on space. However, that doesn’t mean that your style needs to be compromised. In fact, it is often times that very well designed small spaces that I am more drawn to. So today, I gathered up some of my favorite examples of living rooms that may be small in size, but grand in style. They are all from Southern Living. If you find yourself with a “cozy” living room as well, you may find some fun ideas here. Two chairs and just a small ottoman . . . and yet so much style. The white chairs and lamps really keep the space open and create a seamless canvas. I am really drawn to the neutral tans and greens in this room.
This small space seems rich and wonderful due to all of the textures. The velvet sofa and the antique trunk work so well together.
We have seen the accordian table used many times, but it really works beautifully in this room. And hanging the artwork on the shelves is a great idea when wall space is limited.
How fun to paint the architectual details in the space. I also like the mix of styles in this space. It keeps it interesting.
Doesn’t it feel like the beach should be right outside those doors? I love the light color palette and the use of the striped rug. Although it is small, they still divided the room into two sitting areas both defined by the same patterned rug.
One sofa and an oversized ottoman creates a great look in this space. I also love the interesting bamboo frame on the large mirror.
The all white furniture and walls keep this space feeling open despite it being quite small. I love the black accents in the gallery wall as well.
This room does double duty and still looks amazing. I love the idea of keeping the walls white and adding color to the ceiling.
This room still boasts tons of pattern and the oversized fixture is a great statement piece. {all living rooms from Southern Living Style Guide} If you are short on space, I hope you found some interesting inspiration in these spaces. Happy weekend to you all. We are hoping for a relaxing weekend with some time at the pool. enjoy your weekend

There is something so appealing about a small, well-designed space. In our current home, as well as our last home, we have a two living spaces on the first floor, one large and one very small. I find myself spending more and more time in the smaller room because it does feel cozy. One of the really nice parts is that it's less expensive to design a small room-less furniture needed!

Great small space ideas! OK- it's settled! After seeing image #3, I'm definitely going to paint our dining room all one color, from the crown molding down to the baseboards. Love this look and have been thinking about it for a while. Wish me luck! 🙂

These rooms are beautiful and are VERY helpful at getting a better idea of what you can accomplish in such a small space! As a college student, I'm living in very close quarters. These photos have a lot of great ideas to make the most of my cramped spaces! Thanks for sharing! :]]
