Friday Eye Candy: Laundry Love

September 9, 2011 by Courtney 18 Comments

Boy do I appreciate electricity! We were one of the 6 million in the Southwest without power yesterday and last night. While candles and a camping lifestyle are fun and romantic for the first hour . . . it soon becomes very dark, extremely quiet, and very challenging. Thank you to the men and women who worked long and hard to restore our power. This week I am leaving you with some fun and beautiful images from Pinterest. There is no question that a pretty laundry room makes the chore that much easier. I made a couple of small changes to my laundry room that I will show you next week. These rooms knock it out of the ballpark.
Clean and pretty, don’t you think? Happy weekend to you all. We will be watching our daughter play her first soccer game. I use the word “play” very lightly. I think we all know what it looks like when five year olds first hit the field. Can’t wait!

Great inspirational pictures. I would love natural light in mine but don't have that luxury.

I'd love to have any one of these clean and bright laundry rooms, mine is in the basement of my old house and it has no natural light. I try to spend as little as possible time down there!! ;-D

    Good luck to your daughter!!

    XO,
    Janie

Now that I'm done drooling…thank you very much ;), I can say this:

"Pocket finds jar"…. I'm all over it. With three kids in the house (and a hub who constantly leaves receipts in his pockets), this is needed just like my morning espresso!

Thanks for the simplest, yet most genius idea I'll probably come across all day! Makes you go: "why didn't I think of that?" Lol.

Love them all, but my fav is the last one with the floral rug. How smart to use the Expedit as storage in the laundry room with IKEA's colorful boxes.

These are so pretty! I'm dying for a pretty laundry room. Especially now that I've moved into a house where the washer and dryer are sitting in the darkest, loneliest corner of the basement.

I was wondering if yours got knocked out. Glad it's back. Can't wait to see what you've done. I could use some inspiration, while nice, mine is very bare bones with nothing other than the necessities in there.

Of course the yellow wallpapered room is my favorite. I wonder why I didn't glam mine up with yellow???? Hmmm, redecorating soon?

Mmmm… so pretty. I bet I would do laundry more often if I had some cheery paint or wall paper in there like these 🙂

We were without power too! We are in SW AZ so we were hot!! I love laundry rooms…above my cupboards that are above my washer and dryer, i display my boys school day treasures…and a few hubby and I saved from our childhood!!
