Often when I am choosing Friday Eye Candy images it is because I am working on something related for myself or a client. Today I am obsessing over the layering of rugs. I love the look and although it is not new to the design trends as of late, it would be new to my home if I did it. What about you? Do you have layered rugs in your home? Here are some beautiful examples {not too mention, beautiful rooms}. … {source} I am completely attracted to the neutral quality of this room. Even though the rugs are layered, it’s still so soft and pretty without any crazy prints going on And the inside of the fireplace is stunning. … {source} This is one of my all time favorite rooms. None other than the master bedroom of Lauren Liess {before their move}. So effortless and so beautiful. She makes me want to paint my reading lamp brass. Hmmm. … {source} I love everything about this room. The layered rugs, the drapery, and the touch of green with the fiddle leaf. So elegant and inviting at the same time. I think the layered rugs here actually make the space feel more welcoming and the black in the top rug helps to ground the space. {source} jenna lyons This gorgeous apartment is so elegant. So striking. While too formal for my life right now, I wouldn’t mind walking into this a few years from now! … {source} This space uses some of my favorite fabrics and I love the addition of the two small tables near the couch. The layered rug in this room takes this living room to a whole new level. … {source} Dreamy. The large mirror, the door leaning against the wall, and those rugs. It’s so pretty. Maybe not the most practical of rooms. But you could borrow so many fantastic ideas from this space to incorporate into your own space. That is always what I look for when I see rooms like this. We all know that they are picture perfect and not quite the look we can pull off with crazy lives and messy children. But they all have ideas and finishes that really can be translated into our own homes. What about you? Did you see an idea or two? Do you like the layered rug look. I have the itch and think I may have to bust out this look pretty soon! Happy weekend to you all. We are blessed with sunshine for the next few days and plan to soak it in!

I've always noticed layered cow hide over rectangular rugs, so it was fun to see how people used rectangle on top of rectangle. Got me thinking that it might enable me to buy a smaller more pricey rug to go over top a neutral less expensive option…also, a softer option over top a rougher option. hmmm, the possibilities I never thought of. Just what I needed, more ideas. 😉 Have a great weekend, Courtney!

I'm totally into the layered look too. Makes me want to keep some of my rugs that I would otherwise give away.

I totally love the layered look! I've got that going in my family room and I've toyed around with the idea of doing the same in my dining room. Gotta finish some other rooms before I start tweaking rooms that already "done." 😉

I love this look. I do have layered rugs in my bedroom, and might do it more, but I don't have any extra rugs laying around!

I really love your house. Your all pictures are so beautiful. All stuff in the house is wonderful. Recently i have also build a new house and now i furnished my house with some beautiful furniture but your furniture is much better then my furniture. Now i though that i again buy some more stylish furniture from some furniture online stores.
