Happy Friday, everyone! This week has flown by. While my to-do list is growing by the day, we are continuing to put the mundane things of life on hold while we savor the sunshine and lazy days of summer. Like most children, my two seem to have been fish in another life and I can’t get them out of the water. I remember being the same as a little one and swimming with my children always brings back such fun memories of my dad swimming with me {love you, dad}. Pretending to be a dolphin while I clung to his back, we spent hours jumping in and out of the water. Dad always jumped right in and mom looked gorgeous poolside. So what describes you at the pool? Do you dive right in, or do you take it all in from the edge? … houzz.com
via via Whether you are one to dive in head first or more slow to warm up, I hope that each experience is memorable and one that you wouldn’t change for the world. Off to swim and soak in the sun. happy weekend

The start of the school year always seems to mark the end of pool season for us (even though it's *definitely* still hot enough for the pool!) and this year I'm actually really sad! The kiddos and I have spent a LOT of time there this year and it really is just so much fun…here's to finding more fun, right? (c; Have a great weekend, girly!

Beautiful photos. I was the one to jump right in with mine when they were younger. Now, I am not much of a community pool person. Glad you are slowing down to enjoy what's left of summer. Elie is already finishing up her first week of teaching! Crazy!!

Beautifully said as always Courtney. I remember riding Dad's back to the bottom of the pool and giving him a little pinch when I was ready to surface. It was fun doing this with our boys too. Wonderful memories by the water both then and now. Hope you have a peaceful weekend friend.

We had a pool when we lived in California. Here in Seattle, most pools are indoors.. so we don't get these beautiful views. Pretty images!
