Friday Eye Candy: Red & Aqua

July 27, 2012 by Courtney 12 Comments

Last night I was together with some of my girlfriends at a party for Thirty-one. If you are not familiar, they sell some really cute totes. The reason I bring this up is because it was almost comical how I could not make a decision on which color combination to go with. I can pick out a countertop or new couch in five minutes flat. But ask me to choose an embroidery color paired with a bag pattern and it was more than I could handle! I came home thinking about red and aqua! It’s striking and fun and although it’s been around for quite some time, there is something very eye catching to me. Check out these pretty examples: ……………………..….red & aqua

The color combination in this porch photo is so striking. And I am a sucker for bringing indoor pieces outside for a more relaxed and warm feel.

So I fully realize there is not a lot of aqua going on here, but I am counting the sky. There is something just so striking about this house. I love it. Had to share.

I just love these light pendants. They remind me of a restaurant my husband and I like to go to on date nights. {Javier’s in Crystal Cove. . .they look like the outdoor lights. Any local readers agree?}

Just a touch of red with the coral and book on the coffee table. The little bit of contrast is fantastic. And if that rug showed up in my living room I would do the happy dance for sure.

Here the combination is much more subdued. The red hue of the brick with the soft blue walls. The beautiful carpet ties the space together. I would love to enjoy coffee here each morning. Would you?

……………. Also a quick thank you to Better Homes and Garden for featuring my fall mantel on BHG.com. What a treat. Love this color combo everything I see it, and that house is just too adorable. Reminds me of some beach houses I've had my eye on, in my dreams. 🙂

    I like red and aqua too. I have that house with the red door pinned on my favorites already. It is one of the most striking homes I've seen…there just something gorgeous about it.

    Especially love the brick with pale aqua walls. My 3 year old daughter's bedroom is red and aqua and I love the two together. So did you get a red and aqua bag then?
