Fun New Finds: Organizing Your Paper

March 10, 2011 by Courtney 23 Comments

Whether you are new to my blog or have been around for a while, it doesn’t take long to realize that I love a great deal. Having said that, I only like it if it’s something I know I will use and love. I’ve got two great fun finds for you today. The first is a phenomenal sale on scrapbook paper at Michael’s. Now I am not a scrapbook person, but I use paper for all sorts of fun things around the house. From matting a photo to lining a bookcase you can’t beat the amazing prints they now have. I had a few minutes to kill before picking up my daughter so I ran into Michael’s. Saw that they had a whole slew of papers for $.14 a piece. That’s incredible since some of them are ordinarily $1.49. So I scooped up a bunch and headed to the counter with my two year old. Apparently I was the first to buy any since they weren’t in the computer. I think the gal checking me out started that day and had to override EVERY SINGLE FLIPPIN PIECE OF PAPER I bought. But to walk away with over 20 pieces for less than $3.00 is so worth it. If you like to stock up on paper like I do you should head on over {just make sure you have some time on  your hands . . . I was totally late to pick up my daughter. Oh, dear!} IMG_9988_thumb2 IMG_9987_thumb You better believe this botanical beauty will be poppin’ up somewhere soon! That brings me to where to put all of these! I am super in love with this little holder I picked up from Target. It was on sale for $6.00. It holds all the 12 x 12 paper and what I love is that I can carry it anywhere in the house. I am a big fan of that as I end up doing projects where ever the children seem to be. And the fact that it matches the rest of my desk makes me one happy camper! IMG_9989_thumb1IMG_9996_thumbIMG_9997_thumb Have you stumbled upon any great deals lately? I always like to hear where I should be headed next!

I love this idea for holding paper. I've never seen one before, neither have I seen paper that cheap. LOVE a bargain, and that is amazing! I can get lost looking at fabric and paper. I've actually got quite a few bits of paper waiting in the wings, and would love a folder like this! Too bad I'm not in the same country, although we do have Target, not the same stuff though. x

A heartfelt thank you to everyone and their kind words and advice about my wine soaked laptop! You all were so genuinely thoughtful. This post was composed right before the incident which is why there is no mention of it! I plan to put the computer back together today and see if it works! Fingers crossed. In the meantime thanks for understanding my lack of blog rounds. My phone just doesn't cut it! Have a good day everyone and hope these scrap book paper hints can help you.

Courtney, I was in Michael's last night at 9:30pm (UGH) gathering supplies for my daughter's Girl Scouts meeting today, and I'm just amazed at all the goodies in there. If only there was more time in the day. I don't scrapbook much but I do LOVE the paper for, as you mentioned, craftiness 'round the house!

Scrapbooking paper can be as inspiring as fabric! I love all of the choices that are out there and have used them in ways that go far beyond scrapbooking. Thanks for sharing!

Hope your computer makes a speedy recovery! And I love this paper holder, I'm going to get one for my desk for all my stacks of "To be filed" (that actually never seem to get filed).. At least now they will be in one neat little container. Yay and thanks=)

Love the paper, so pretty and .14 a piece – hello awesome! I just read the computer update… I hope all went well last night. I of course continue to allow myself to be behind on all my blogs – yet again and I don't have an excuse! 🙂
